I'm seriously considering getting the Pecatoni River Blunderbuss kit . It looks like a nice kit .

The old blunderbusses are awesome, like seeing the different styles and accessories, ie bayonet, ect.

I don't like repro so it's good to see an original - lovely! You're so right - the bayonet coming out is swift!

That's a really interesting piece there, I was wondering what in the world that sliding catch was and thought it could only be a safety but have never seen a safety on an original piece before.

My Gobbler Knob .72 caliber Fowler is perfect for the Va. Mountains where I live. It's an all around gun ,meaning it goes from killing squirrels ,rabbits,varmits , to duck ,turkey , Geese , to deer ,bear, or Bigfoot. Having a shotgun ,rifle . Is much better than just a rifle . And a farmer or settler would always choose it over a rifle for the versatility ! Gobbler Knob makes the best ones I've ever seen , period . P.s .72 = 12 ga. Peace.

Nice! I wonder why that safety catch isn't more common on historical locks.

That's cool! Too bad modern kits don't have bayonets.

Do we have a concrete reason why they used bass barrels on these bad boys?
@carolramsey62872 жыл бұрын
Brass doesn't rust and swamped (flared) barrels were popular on ships snd stagecoaches because they were easier to load when on a swaying platform. It had nothing to do with spread of shot, it's found on naval pistols too

no need to do any more of these videos because everything else will be a disappointment after a switch blade blunderbuss. That was flippin cool right there. I shocked it was only 20ga.
