Good feedback on the wife. I also been married 13 years, she supports me & my love for the Adirondacks & the outdoors. We have a son & he is 5 years old, my age is 43. My son has autism & the bond we have together is really built on our hikes together. He talks a little but not much, but in the woods we have a great time just exploring, being two kids! LOL watching your videos at the end of the day, planning my trips out in the woods, well it makes me happy & find a peaceful mind before bed. Yo

My son watches Netflix and KZbin and I watch KZbin, read a lot, and play a game on my phone and tablet, and check out my Facebook for family photos and news. I also have a few KZbinr sites, including yours, on there. Catching up on your videos from as far back as I can go. Love your camp food reviews. Also your mail call videos. You all are always so appreciative of anything you get, even just letters. You are all one of my favorites.

Hi Luke...I am so glad I came across your channel. I just love your videos....I pretend that I’m right there with you enjoying the campfires and the meals and COFFEE! I was always a country girl, like the saying goes you can take the girl from the country...but you can’t take the country away from the girl. I love to read early history on how our country was first settled, and all the things good and bad they had to go through.Luke your fire was beautiful. I love to hear all your stories around the campfire and you Q&A time! I know what you mean to find a partner who loves the great outdoors as you do. You and Susan are a wonderful couple and truly belong together. Well till the next video...take care. ❤️👍👀

Hey, I really enjoy your videos. you have such a positive attitude the whole time even when the trip is done. You have such a love and respect for the outdoors. I really enjoy camping. I have campfires in my yard all the time even though it's winter outside people would call me crazy. I live in southeastern Idaho, lots of beautiful places to camp. thanks for your gear reviews, they really help.

I know this is an older video but you are one of a very few that I have seen on a bush craft/camping channel to feed limps into a fire as they burn. In most cases this is a much easier and quicker way to sustain a fire plus you exert less effort which can be used for other camp chores. Well done and I am enjoying your videos.

Thanks for this one Luke. A nice video taken with a nice slow pace, no hurry. I have also burned very wet logs during my trips. I start it with birch bark which is very flammable and never gets wet. It is common here to use big logs in the fire since it is so easy to maintain it. However, it is important with wet logs to maintain a smaller feeding fire under them to keep the chain reaction going at a sufficient level. Just as I noticed you to do.

Thanks pal. As for packs; man I've got a lot of different ones. Ranging from NF to Osprey to Gregory to military systems and they all have a special place in my heart. External Frames are great especially if you carry really heavy loads. Internal Frames are usually much lighter and that is what I like. You can get most packs in S, M, and Large so you could get something that fits correctly. Let me know if you have any questions mate. Take care.
