In most cases, there is no known cause as to why someone develops lymphoma. There are however, several risk factors associated with developing lymphoma. Some treatments used to treat other types of cancer might increase the chance of developing a type lymphoma in future, however most people who've been treated for another cancer do not develop lymphoma.
