I thought that it was pretty alright that you were redesigning Shovel Knight music to be actually playable on the NES, right up until 2:15 when I realised that the underlying pedal sounded like a SNES instrument, despite Famitracker being specifically made with the limitations of the NES. Then I was really impressed.

@@danforce4222 Maybe. Any new instrument file you create is completely blank - just a flat, unmodified tone. I'd almost argue this sounds better than the original. This might come as heresy to some people, but I actually aren't the biggest fan of this game's original soundtrack. Now, that ain't a knock at Jake Kaufman in the slightest. I can jam to the Mighty Switch Force soundtrack any day. Just that while the composition is spot-on, I always felt with this soundtrack had something about the instrumentation that absolutely did not do it for me. It consistently used these very sharp and whiny instruments that felt grading in the worst of cases. This is alot smoother and softer, making it much easier on the ears.
