But, another reason I don't go is there are few Christians where I live that ever want to invite you into their world. Friendship at churches here are non-existent. In thirty years where I lived, there are none that I've ever really hung out without outside of church. But, honestly, I think that has been God's plan in my case.

I do believe the phrase 'peace and safety' is about a 'sense' of it..not the actual end of the war. I have said in previous posts, too, that warring will continue in Israel. I rely on the scriptures as we have studied Micah, Zachariah and Psalm 83. Good analogy of the political right and left of Israel and America...that is, Netanyahu/Trump v. Gallant/Biden. My biggest reason why I was not going to vote for Trump again was the Abraham Accords. In it it says to make Israel a two state solution for the "Palestinians". But recently I heard Trump say he doesn't believe in a two state solution anymore and knows it will not work. He admitted he was wrong. There are a couple of other things but not that big of a deal. So as of now I will vote for Trump if there is an election.

It occurred to me a few days ago that one of the weirdest accounts in the Bible might be a type of the covenant from Daniel 9:27 and if the typology is correct it is not the antichrist who breaks the covenant. Has anyone ever considered that the story in Genesis 34 has many similar elements to the events of today and what we expect to see in the future...? 1. Violating a daughter(s) of Israel 2. A "marriage" covenant similar to the two state solution talked about now. 3. The covenant is literally with every man in the city, as Daniel 9:27 talks about a covenant with the many. 4. Simeon and Levi break the covenant on the third day. If we look at this as a type (and consider the "days" as "years") this could be what leads the antichrist to cut off the sacrifices after 3 and a half days. 5. Jacob literally ending the chapter by telling his sons that they have brought him trouble (as in "Jacob's trouble") with the neighboring nations (think Psalm 83) 6. God puts the surrounding nations under the terror of God as they fled so they would not be pursued (Genesis 35:5) as God hides them similar to how He will during the worst part of the Great Tribulation.

But I see psalms 83 as pointing to God hiding and protecting the remnant of Jews at the midpoint of the tribulation until Jesus returns to rule. From the very beginning we were told to be aware and be looking for the return of Jesus in the sky to gather his church and bring them home. So, this even means those 2000 years ago, a belief in our heart and our mind will set us out searching for that day. So now realize those that have died if they were searching, they will be the first ones to be rapture, so they should have the same exuberance back then as we do now, this explaining why we see the rapture as imminent. If I die before the rapture God will have seen me as truly wanting to go home and looking for his return. Hope this was helpful.
