Clash Of Minds

In this episode we will discuss the facts pertaining to the credibility of the Bible, be it historical, archeological, prophetic or simply logical evidence. Throughout the ages, the Bible has been preserved and safeguarded to allow the light of Christ to permeate through darkness and transform us into His image.

Comfort can be gained through trials by singing praises to God. I too have had a difficult week. From tears to peace and strength; starting with a simple song, then continued going through hymn book, one song after another until I felt God's peace.

What is your song? Mine in times of trouble & hardships or loss is the Hymn “ It is well with my soul “ knowing what the writer of that Hymn went through & how his faith & belief in God that after loosing his whole family that those words through God it is well with our soul gave him comfort & strength. It does exactly the same thing for me.

I also see a parallel in the KID WHO THREW THE STONE INTO THE CAVE AND BROKE THE POTS OF CLAY WHICH HELD THE SCRIPTUES as a parallel to Jesus the ROCK that comes to BREAK THE FEET OF IRON AND CLAY to reveal truth of his word by his coming. What amazing depth the bible has.

Lovely presentation! Your mother said it well in the beautiful series "Dwelling in the secret place" (of the most High)... God allows 'bad things' to sometimes come upon us to refine and strengthen our character. He will reveal why these 'bad things' happened to us in heaven. Gabriel Estevao (a former Satanist from Angola) said demons can only harm us if God allows it. God will always make a way of escape and will never allow us to go thru more than what we can cope with. Sometimes God allows us to reap the 'bad rewards' of deliberately putting ourselves on Satan's ground. Jesus was strengthened in the garden of Gethsemane - he wasn't spared what was to come - this is what we must all remember - God will give courage when needed - He will never abandon us. He chastens those He loves to fit them for heaven. God bless you both.

Happy Sabbath x thank you for this blessing x we can resonate with your words, and yesterday I was led to Derek Prince's sermons on demonic attack and he gave me the beautiful holy scripture "..... whosoever that shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be delivered." Joel 2:32 x regarding the joy of having the Comforter we are told by our Heavenly Father through His only begotten Son Lord Jesus that "And because ye are sons, GOD hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father" Galatians 4:6, how perfect, gracious and merciful x I was delighted to see Mr du Plessis and hope you incorporate more of his work both past and present x finally, I discovered Prof Walter and Martin 6 years ago and they and theirs have been in my prayers daily ..... which have included you x very much love and God Bless from the UK xx

It is so very important to study the Bible Word; also the Spirit of Prophecy Writings, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Being of a long line of SDA, for instance, does not bring one into that relationship with God, - Jesus Christ his/ her personal Saviour, as each one must needs have. Knowing that the Holy Bible says certain things, but not knowing what those things mean, the proper context in which they fit, or are relevant, nor how they relate to one's salvation, doesn't help. Studying the Word; building up that special relationship with the Lord, - being then able to live the Word, and to impart the Word to others effectively; and encouraging each other in the Word, makes all the big difference. Constantly Abiding in Jesus Christ/ The Word. In 2008, this special journey with the Lord commenced, even though I was always SDA. Praise be unto the Lord, Jesus Christ for helping me on this Spirit filled journey. Amen. I recommend this journey with the Lord, to everyone/ whosoever will. The Total Onslaught series helped to make the difference; guided by the Holy Spirit. 🙏🙏🙏

I think of Job of course. Job has always been such an inspiration to me...I can't even begin to imagine his losses, his physical pain, and his mental anguish trying to figure out why? Why did these things happen to him; one who loved God like Noah did! His own wife even told him to curse God because God allowed all those horrific things to happen to him! But Job should be looked at for his RESPONSE to God! I have been through some really terrible things as many have. Once I became truly born again, it was downright impossible for me to blame God, hate God, or anything except love Him no matter what was happening to me!

Trial is necessary for spiritual growth, but it is not pleasant, nor easy. Well done my friends, I wanted to encourage you again to continue in this work. Trials will come, this is normal, meet them with the word and the promises, meet them with Faith. I wanted to recommend a sermon to you, this sermon helped me immensely when I was beginning to write. I believe everyone who is beginning in the ministry should watch it. It is called "the eagle" by Pastor Walter Pearson. This sermon really helped me with my writing process and my approach to sermon preparation. Take care and God bless!

Dear Robert, I have been through so many very hard times, a lot of trauma, both physical and emotional and with grief. I have a heavy heart about something even now. I want to say how I feel for you and pray for you. I was born the same month and year as your father so I've had a lot of difficult times to get through. I know you will be comforted and you will become stronger. I often think of the pain God has suffered at the hands of people, in the ways we have treated his creation and each other and how we forsake him. God must feel heart broken by the sins of people which seem to me to be getting more and worse daily. God bless you, dear Robert, hang in there, God will never give up on you no matter what happens. I too truly believe we do need a personal relationship with God. I too still find reading the Bible on my own difficult. I pick it up and open it and there is Leviticus. I can't make it out. So I try somewhere else and get Numbers... it becomes worse... Why can't it all be like Isaiah or Daniel? Thank you and Marlou for your lovely and helpful discussion here.

One question: Knowing the ONLY way being saved, is through Jesus; I then wonder if one would never find out about the bible differences, what impact does this have to an honest child of God, studying in a “warped” bible version? For example, my sons are reading the “Hoffnung für Alle” (we do discuss the differences though) but the last thing I want to do is to demotivate them reading the bible, especially when they find Abba Father talking to them, when reading their bibles. Thanks for your tremendous brave road you are taking with this new project! Gert

A most excellent perspective by which to approach a saving knowledge of God's sacred Word, a vital acquaintance with the Bible, is given us in the divine insight and directive found in Ephesians 4:21! "If so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, AS THE TRUTH IS IN JESUS" (emphasis added). The truth as it is in Jesus,--who declared of Himself: "I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6, emphasis added)! If it cannot harmonize with His life and teachings, it is not truth; only that which comes from Him can lead to Him. Period.

You mentioned going and looking up sources of info for ourselves. It might be useful to talk about where to find these sources, perhaps a recommended reading list. And how does one actually let the Bible speak for itself. Perhaps "disciple" us listeners by walking through the steps and tools used to actually do that. Perhaps that could be suggestions for an episode or two.

He preceded Lister but was not paid the attention he deserved. He noticed that women in the Viennese Maternity Clinic who were attended by the Midwives who routinely washed their hands between examining patients did not die of puerperal fever to the huge extent of those in the hospital where women were attended by Physicians who did not wash their hands between patients, and more importantly did not wash their hands after conducting post-mortem examinations on bodies which died from puerperal disease. . Yah! I love that! Lol! I have several questions? So Sorry in advance! I was baptised twice once by baptists as a young child, & once by either a calvary Christian church or methodist church i cant remember which; life curcumstance! My question is i believed by faith in Jesus' atonement at both times, but never understood the truths that God led me to know thru sda & reformational teachings! Do i need to get baptised again in the bible truth or is my faith in atonement & previous baptisms both in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost sufficient? And must i be baptised into a physical church, when the bible says we all face God alone in our judgement? does that not mean we are singularly, the church collectively in the truth? So confused about finding a scriptural answer; & how does it work if there is no local sda church in the area? I dont think i should join in another church, like my familys baptist church when i now know they preach, unbeknownst to them, the false doctrine of rome????

Why does the Bible mention other books , like book of Nathan etc and others , but they not in the Bible? Doesn't anyone find it odd in regards to symbolism that we know , that it's " 66" BOOKS IN THE BIBLE ? Wouldn't that raise some suspicion ? Meaning man had decided to leave some books out that weren't supposed to be ? I don't discount the Bible at all , I'm a Bible student .. just curious that there is mention of other books and that 66 books are what we have now ... weird number , no?
@desertvineyard
@desertvineyard 4 ай бұрын
Why 66 should be a weird number? For example. There were 12 followers of Jesus right. He was the 13th. So now societies will have 12 students and a master. So 13 .13 is the most important card in the arcans of the great. It mean both rebelion and the human and god combined. That numner is also death. Bible does no care about Satan and his silly love for numbers - numerology, where one's life is dictated to dates, numbers and so on. For example. God created everything in 6 days. Is that wrong? Is that numerology? Nope. Lucyfer likes to take everything, for he does not own anything and can not create anything, and then he perverse it, so people become confused. There were some books added. But it was after everything were completed in Old and New Testament. For Old Testament it was about 400 years before Jesus, and for New Testament it was about 100 years after the Bible was completed.

It is true that the Bible mentions other books, such as the book of Nathan and others, because these books were historical or prophetic documents that were known and used by the biblical authors of the time. These books were not considered part of the biblical canon, that is, books that were recognized as the inspired word of God and therefore should be included in the Bible. It is possible that some of these books were lost or destroyed over time, or that they were not considered important or reliable enough to be included in the canon. The fact that the Bible mentions these other books does not necessarily mean that they were intended to be included in the canon, but rather that they were sources or references that were used by biblical authors in writing their own work. The number of 66 books in the Bible is based on Protestant belief, which recognizes 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. Some traditions, such as the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Churches, recognize a different number of books in the Bible, due to different conceptions of what constitutes the biblical canon and does not mean that they are correct references.

I recently read that there have been different ways of counting the number of books in the Bible. For example, Ezra and Nehemiah were originally considered a joint book; also both Kings, both Chronicles, etc. So previously there was a different number of books. So in my opinion, symbolism doesn't apply to the number of books. As for prophets whose books aren't included in the canon, there are quite a number of them. I take that to mean that their message was more applicable to it's audience of the time and not to the 'church' throughout the ages. Even John 21:25 ends by saying that just the things which Jesus did could not be contained in books, so even more so writings of previous prophets. I am no expert but I hope that helps some.

There are few "books" mentioned but aren't there. Couldn't it be possible that one or two were misplaced or mishandled, innocently, as is the way of some ( at least, me ). But also, could it be possible that the devil's agents got ahold of some of these and destroyed them before they were gathered with the others ? Count our blessings, praise God, for what has been preserved for us in His will.

Acts 19:12 Is another example of the Writers of the Bible being inspired, but the Translators are not. There is not a comma after (sick) in the King James Bible. No comma after sick means sick handkerchiefs...

I think you might have your question backwards, or meant someone else, as Abraham was born quite a bit after Noah.

Abraham wasn’t alive when Noah was born. Abraham was born after the flood.

Your sincerity and belief is very evident and your words about the Old Testament have proven true. However the New testament is another story. 75% of it was created/fabricated by Lucius, the Bishop of Cyrene and one of the 70 disciples. Jesus was the Jewish Messiah and came to Earth in fulfillment of the OT prophecies, but Lucius forged almost all of the epistles, used Josephus' book "Wars of the Jews" to write the Sermon on the Mount, and ancient Egyptian documents to fabricate Revelation. Lucius is the one who wrote the gospel of Luke, and Acts of the Apostles. He was not the Greek doctor from Antioch. Lucius was known by his nickname "Luke." So there were two "Lukes" ... and historians/ Bible scholars have confused the two men. Lucius created all the fantastic Bible stories to sell "Messianic Judaism" to the Jews who rejected Jesus as the Messiah. For instance, there was no Ascension from the Mt of Olives, and no "Transfiguration," and the Baptism scene in Matthew , Mark and Luke is totally corrupted.... It was written by Lucius! How? Lucius had been designated the "Keeper of Records" for the early faith, so he had possession of Matthew's gospel; Mark's gospel; and John's gospel. Thus: He had the ability to corrupt all of them, which he did, and it is proven by the existence of the "Synoptic Gospels.' They are carbon copies of each other. And as previously mentioned, he wrote almost all of Paul's epistles and this is easily proven because Paul was dead in October 64CE, and the "letters" contain info only available after 78CE since that is when Josephus had his War Book published which was used to create "scripture.". Some of the scripture in the New Testament is legit and true, but most of it reflects the beliefs of Lucius, and over-all, it has not been bad for humanity during the last 2000 years. Lucius was a very smart, creative man ... who today would probably live and work in Hollywood ... well-known for cranking out fantastic movies.

Bible writers are inspired, translators are not.

I absolitely believe translators have been inspired too. Even the verses show patterns random chance can not explain, but we have to understand, that Gods word is preserved purified seven times, and this word is the seed that the sower is sowing, that grows into fruitbearing wheat, and we have to believe, that there came an enemy sowing tares into the field, and the plants it produces looks like wheat, until it is ripe. That is why there is ONE true stream of Bibles, and the rest is Satans seed, corrupted fraudulent texts and confusion mixex into and presented as Bibles. The problem with the ones producing tares are babylonian wine, that is confusion. Theories and theological mumble jumble and endless discussions, and the spirit is taken out of the corruptions. Those Bibles produce endless denominations and crazy teaching, that has nothing what so ever to do with anything inspired. I recommend the King James Bible.

sure but God guided the reformers in translating the Bible, people like Luther & Tyndale were definitely given their mission by God, the translators to be wary of are the jesuits & their lackeys - & one way to combat them is to compare the translations & see how drastically they change the message

I keep seeing people say this as if it’s a fact. So you don’t think Martin Luther was inspired? I think a lot of translators were inspired, especially those out of the reformation.

It depends. This might apply to modern scholars and knowing the original language can be helpful. Yet never forget the dedicated efforts of godly translators like Wycliffe or Luther.
