An Unforgettable Day in Al Ula | Saudi Arabia

This day in Al Ula was definitely now of the biggest highlights of my trip and a memory I will cherish.
I went with Meteb and Mohammad on the trip as part of ‘AMAZING TOURS’ - There were 8 other people in my group and we all stayed in Medina the first night before heading to Al Ula.
Meteb was such an amazing tour guide, I originally found out about Meteb and Amazing Tours from Trip Advisor with people commenting so highly about his tours.

I was in the Eastern Province in the 90's - The things that surprised me the most (in a good way): Saudi culture is historically VERY hospitable, and the fact that reflected in the way they greeted your group upon arrival to one of the sites with a coffee/date service. Second, the modernization of the country, now seeing females working more consistently, specifically the highly knowledgeable tour guide you had during one of your site visits. Love seeing these changes happen.

I'm part Saudi part Irish. Lived in Ireland for about 5 years and 10 in Saudi. Definitely consider living in Saudi Arabia a lot easier and more enjoyable, although I consider education in Ireland to be a lot more reputable. Will be moving to Ireland in a few months and will miss a lot of what happens over here. Enjoy your time in Saudi.

Hi Aoife, I recently came across your channel. Insightful, interesting and your attitude and personality shine through beautifully in your videos. I'm originally from South Africa but have been living in Carlow, Ireland for the last 10yrs. Prior to that I lived in Saudi for 6yrs. It's lovely to see how much Saudi has changed and developed and opened up. I miss it and hope to go back sometime. I have watched many vlogs on Saudi Arabia trip and especially on Al Ula and this is the best coverage bar none!!! Your coverage was possibly one of the best I have seen so far. You put something into these videos that those influencers with millions of views on their Saudi trips lacked which was ...realness (if that is a word lol ) You connected with the locals and other foreign travelers and really made your videos a true personal experience. I really felt as if I was there myself. The Al Ula trip and the Al Balad area in Jeddah were my favourite from this Saudi trip. You should return when they have the Jeddah Red Sea Film festival or the Saudi National day. You have a quality about you which makes you very likable and super amazing. There is another guy from the UK his name is Jason Billam he did an extraordinary job too showing an authentic trip like yours. Have a look at his videos if you ever get time. Looking forward to your final video by the way.

Beside the 7 wonders in the world we have a lot of historical hidden treasures that needs more attention and they are beyond beautiful. I’m from Jeddah and we have the Red Sea but I really love the desert side more than the sea side because it give such an amazing feeling , feeling the wind, watching the sunset and just relaxing. As a Saudi every time I go camping to the desert or passing by when traveling I just love thinking of how people thousands years ago used to travel in the desert and adapted the lifestyle even animals adapted the life of it and shaped them in a special way and made them more amazing more than any other animals like camels and Arabian horses.
