Rough as starting with a pregnant colonist is I am pretty hopeful for our little team. So long as we can find some decent recruits with either Body Modder, Bloodlust, Psycopath we should be fine. I'm really interested to see what that monolith does but hopefully after the birth, dealing with lots of combat would be tricky right now.

I of course wondered if ghouls coupd mate. Quickly decided to scrap figuring that idea out with a chuld ghoul because well Obvious reasons

A good thing to know about the new hidden conduit is that it won't be attacked by raiders. It's not just a beauty thing. Also, the ghoul doesn't care what it eats as long as it is raw meat. Even unbutchered raider corpses. Wasn't gonna mention it until you noticed that it regrew its toe, but the ghoul basically is on super luciferium for healing. It can heal pretty much any condition, from bad backs to missing chunks of brain to cancer. Now the Void will rise again. Void 2: Unusual Boogaloo

@@fetova Good to know. Also, I just found out Hidden Conduits can't have Zzzt events. So if you only use hidden conduits, you can't get Zzzt events from batteries. Excluding direct rain on the batteries or other weather sensitive things.

Excited for this playthrough. Small little tip: hidden conduits are the best thing introduced in 1.5. I haven't had a single "Zzzt" event using only those conduits and I'm charging 15 batteries. :D

Soo if you try to force it in dev mode it still fails. This is amazing and Im 100% spending the 2x resources for it, I used a hidden conduits mod before and made it 5x resource cost and 10x work, needless to say I'm using those conduits

I've been trying to not spoily myself as well, because I wanted to wait for your videos 🙂 If your planter has some time left, you could plant daylilies close to a light. They only need 50% light to grow (at least in 1.4 they did), and they'll get the beauty up pretty well. You can get to impressive barracks with just dirt floor and daylilies.

Just from memory, the Australian military gave two guys a jeep, a machine gun and 5000 rounds. After about a month, they had killed about 5 Emus. The response was to admit the idea was a failure and they put out an open bounty on the Emu and farmers turned in hundreds within a few weeks of the bounty announcement.

hell yeah! rimworld!! dumbshit is the perfect name for a ghoul :D a little "exploit" on the fridge: You can point up to 3 coolers with the hot side at an open door, the door will delete the heat (it behaves like an 1x1 unroofed room) - also works in overhead mountain.

Been looking forward to this, good idea not studying the obelisk, nothing really kicks off until you do, my current colony is 3 years in and I'm just about to turn it one, after getting up to a decent population from 1 colonist and building a killbox along with housing (and anomaly housing) and a good workshop. Gonna be rough with a child, my advice, increase your population, you'll want at least 10 minimum for some of the advanced events or your in trouble. As for the name, "Student's of Aku", and colony name "Aku's Danger Hole" (it will make more sense once the events kick off)

funnily enough your first temperate forest was a 30/60 day growing, which lessens the "easy-ness" of it, ah well, I love the desert personally, genuinely enjoy my sandy bases, arid shrublands prob my fav starting biome. RN doing solo icesheet (but modded, mc is a necromancer so not nearly as hard as a normal run pawn-wise) Normally I hate the colder maps (since I dislike how the parka looks compared to duster/cowboy hat) despite irl me being much more comfortable with cold then hot.

You can give them a lot of amazing perks with genes without the downsides. Hussar yittakin Neanderthals and sanguophages can combine with those like impids as well Not to mention how op you can make them if you make a custom genotype either through the start menu or doing genetics (giving them all projectile abilities giving good melee and bad everything else, naked speed ect ect.)

Besides having the Ghoul running around beating up the animals on the map, you can also have him beat up all the ancient cars and stuff to get that slag. Faster than waiting for a Breach axe. Also you can micro him into killing and eating the corpses of animals, though making a human corpse storage is most efficent as they automaticlaly go and take a bite there when they're hungry.

The Emu was miding its own business, just enjoying its self in the desert, when it was suddenly attacked out of nowhere. "What the hell? Some dumbshit just came and smacked me one! I'm not standing around for that!" The emu sqwaked out the call "REVENGE!" Too and fro, the battle was fought, beak and claws fiercly weilded, but alas it was unsuccessful. "This dumbshit is tougher than those bloody Australians." After the fierce battle, the emu passed away, but its call was heard. Another, more cunning emu, decided to infiltrate the party of murderers, petending to be self tamed, biding its time. Waiting patiently for the perfect moment to enact revenge of its fellow emu. Tick. Tick. (Yeah, I'm an Aussie).

So I really find time schedule wise to just set rest time (as lil as possible) and anything. I’ll set rest to 2 hours so that they are forced to sleep at a time of my choice (maybe 3 hours later so they have time to travel to bed). Once they are in bed if the next action is anything, they will just sleep until rested. They wake up as soon as rested, and with anything scheduled they take care of their own needs. Of course if you want them to meditate you need to schedule that in. Forced Rec time is good just to make sure pawns social together. TL:DR just schedule 2 hours of sleep and leave rest schedule open (anything).
