These verses are also part of a chiasmus describing the spread of the gospel and the BoM. The peak of the poem is found in verse 4: "For it is wisdom in the Father that they sglhould be established in this land, and be set up as a free people by the power of the Father..." Being the peak, that makes the founding of the USA a pivotal part of the restoration of the gospel and the fulfilments of God's promises.

Seven is a perfect number. We have seven days in the week. We have 7000 years of the temporal existence of the Earth. The number seven is the number of Zion. The symbol of Zion is the circle and the square. Here is the explanation. The four corners of the square represents the four corners of the Earth. The circle within the square. Represents the Godhead. There are three in the Godhead. The circle indicates God‘s course is one to turn around. Now you take the four corners of the Earth. And the three members of the godhead. It equals seven. Enoch was the seventh from Adam. And he created a city called Zion. That was translated up to heaven. I have a lot more, but this will suffice. Thank you I love your podcast

I really don't know why the prophet is using 7's so frequently, and I really wish I did. However, I do feel comfortable enough to say what is doesn't mean, and it definitely doesn't mean the Second Coming is very far off. 7 years as prophet? 7 years for the Salt Lake Temple to be under construction? 7th seal? 7th thousand years? The work is complete? 7 trumpets?

@@templesofjesusit is my personal belief he is trying to remind people that in the year 2017 we received the stout horn- had 7 years of tribulations- we are in the 7th seal seven years after the half hour of silence-we had a perfect 7 year symbol where the sun when dark and the moons were blood red- interestingly enough even the prophet was overcome on the 7th of September- when he received his back injury. Think of the book of Daniel also referring to overcoming the prince of the covenant- how many heads does Daniel’s kingdom have? And who was associated with Daniel’s kingdom? How many horns were there? Not 7 but 10 Also the significance of the Kirkland temple and us being promised to have Elias sent back- John the beloved is the Elias and John comes with the restoration of the house of Israel. Even though people don’t want to see it- they are here now. Look up and pray to the lord for eyes to see. Go re read Ezekiel chapter 1

I think he’s giving an accounting to the church and to the Lord that specific portions of the church’s duty in the restoration are complete. Since the number seven represents perfection completeness as it relates to the totality of something, I think he’s witnessing to the church and to the Lord That the time of the gentiles as it relates to their responsibility in the church, is almost complete.

Numbers in scripture are significant as you say Jared. I get them from: Numbers in Scripture by Bullenger. The number 7 is spiritual, is a perfect number, means wholeness, completeness or fullness. The number 6 = fallen man who is an enemy of God. In triplicate 666 = imperfect. If you take number 6 + 1 or God = 7 #1=God. Man can be made perfect if we have God in our lives. I find all this fascinating.

The prophet has all the priesthood keys 🔑 & it sounds like he is pointing out a sign of 2nd coming. In medical field if it's not charted, then it's not done. I think Heavenly Father started the 7s...the creation could've been any length!!! The creation is the main content in the temple that we are to learn about Him. 😊

The Lord is in control of His church and I do not think the 7's are "man made" or on purpose. I do believe they are there for US TO FIND AND FIGURE OUT. Revelation is a really wonderful experience! 😉😇 I had an original Book of Mormon that was passed down to me and I have sense passed it down... 😂, ANYWAY, the original book had no numbers of verses, etc in it. It was really long chapters that were perfect. I can't recall now, but the Book of Mormon we have today has 1 flaw in it. Lol. It's a word, I can't remember where in the Book of Mormon, but yes, 1 flaw.

This is my fun theory. When he was called as prophet, Jesus told him that he would be coming in 7 years, but instructed him not to tell us directly. Russell M. Nelson can't keep his excitement so he's using 7 with an absurd frequency. Jesus will come in 2025, and will participate in the dedicating of the Salt Lake Temple, as well as celebrate with us the 2000th anniversary of his atonement, and also help host the Olympics in Utah. Then everyone will live happily ever after the end.
