These two make me cry so much, someone did a really good take about how Himmel’s love for Frieren was so selfless, in a way that you love nature or a forest, a love so big but that you don’t expect to be returned or even acknowledged, and it broke me. I love them so much, they’re so tragic, and I’m so sad for them 😭😭😭

A love for nature? 😲 First time I've heard of their relationship being explained in such a vast way. Himmel deserves to be an honorary teammate at this rate with all the flashbacks that aid Frieren. 😭

Exactly my thoughts! Himmel's love for Frieren is based on admiration and respect, rather than human romance.

It's up there with Beren and Luthien, albeit in a completely different manner. Tolkien wrote about a faithful love consummated and crowned by death, Frieren about a required yet unrequited love that both sides know can never be consummated. Both touch on the sublime.

I can only hope my ex of 6 years remembers me as Frieren remembers Himmel. Regardless, I will remember her as Frieren remembered Himmel.

I loved watching this, this felt so compact and fast yet so long where i could take my time with it kinda like frieren. I wonder if frieren the anime itself will weirdly be "himmel" to some people and i bet if some people will feel about it... then the author would have done their job. I swear to god the channels with less than 10k subs bring out the best in comentary adn analysis... well whatever type of video these are, the ones that just feel like they're writen from the heart

That’s a sweet way to describe this video( ˶'ᵕ'˶) Some bigger channels still derserve respect like BrandonTalks and ProfessorViral

No wonder Himmel still ranks high in the popularity contests without being with the crew live time

I wonder how many people caught on that both freiren & fern refer to males they are " romantically " attacted to as idiots . Fren with stark ,freiren with himmel
@TapaniLastellar8 ай бұрын
I think less people caught on to it early on. Way more as the series progressed with all the clues around. Then there were viewers outright mentioning it like here.
@bobbombar67118 ай бұрын
@@TapaniLastellar I made the connection by the fact of the word of choice " idiot" though in freiren's cade she never really got used to dealing with emotions to start with

@@bobbombar6711 the way frieren never gets used to emotions is golden. the learning rate of elves when it doesn't involve magic LOL

Just because it seems like you were trying so hard to look smart I think your pronunciation of the names is ok... But ugh.

Good video but you pronouncing the words like they are in Japanese is jarring. They are just German names adopted to Japanese, so use the original pronunciation
@TapaniLastellar6 ай бұрын
I don't know the original pronunciation. I'm using the Japanese pronunciation because I watched the anime in Japanese dub
@user-wi4jt8bs8v6 ай бұрын
@@TapaniLastellar I mean I guess that's fair, but hearing japanized German names with English just sounds weird.
