54:01 I I think Stephen made a really interesting point about halfway through and uh it's not one that we make enough. Both sides are learning uh especially in Washington especially among the more muscular hawkish crowd *we like to pretend that the Russians aren't learning* but they are uh both sides are uh tweaking their systems and responding to each other and I think it's an obvious point uh but the Russians are not idiots and we need *we need to to be honest about that*

55:02 "we're also going to look back and say that the tank is not so useful another another thing that we've learned uh from this war it doesn't make sense to send extremely expensive weapons if a very cheap drone can obliterate it" Then why is Ukraine desperate for more tanks? Tanks have a specific role on the battlefield. That role NEEDS to be filled. That's why tanks won't be going anywhere.

About halfway through, Stephen Biddle starts giving some insightful comments. That's worth listening to. The other 2 say nothing insightful. Just propaganda we've all heard before mixed with wishful thinking.

@@selfworm i mean, Steve is a fairly good author when it comes to modern warfare and he knows what he's talking about. His books are exceptional.

A great conversation. I have spoken to frnds about this conflict and uneducated views see this as an American problem. "Why should we help? Its not our problem" I think ppl have forgotten that Russia invaded Ukraine and even said they were going to do it. At the end of the day it is a question of right or wrong. If you saw a person getting beat up on the street for no reason, is it right to intervene and support the acosted or should you stand by and watch. To do the latter just emboldens the bully.
