Well @@Petunia1738, some people have jobs that move them around a lot and they’d rather not settle for houses they hate just because they probably won’t stay long. It adds value which is especially important if you won’t be there long enough for the value to go up on its own. AND not everyone wants to throw their money into nothing like with renting, which also limits what you can do with your home.

I completely renovated my grandfather’s home last year after he passed away and I bought the house. It is an intense emotional journey, lemme tell you. Feeling like you don’t have a “home” in the meantime is very VERY difficult. You become impatient and just want the rest of your life to begin in this new home you’ve built, but seeing it finally coming together and imagining yourself building memories in these walls makes it worth every minute waiting and every dime spent.
