Tim nailed it , the secret to volcano bay is to stay all day . Most negative reviews leave at 12 saying the wait times are too long , but even on sunny day the park waits even out and you get to ride everything . Also ride now means go on it without tapu tapu .People still think they can't as they will loose their place .Its just a new concept that people need to get used to

200 pound weight limit for a water slide is ridiculous. Most grown men over 6ft are 200lbs+

No, but Universal should have chosen inclusivity as opposed to unrealistic weight limits, especially since water parks have become more and more adult getaways and less about kids.

Should've, would've, coulda are easy to say. How can you claim it's unrealistic? a Heavier load on a water raft means there is a very good chance it could flip over. Heavier = greater chances of it flipping. Imagine the amount of lawsuits.

From the video it sounded like only 2 or 3 of the slides are restricted to 200lbs. Also, a majority of the population doesn't weigh over 200lbs.

The stargazer cave was so cool! Reminded me more of Disney! Universal did a great job with this park. I used to live in Tampa and loved hanging out at the parks I'm so bummed I don't live in the area now! I can't wait to visit this park when the hype dies down.

Me and my family bought tickets for Volcano Bay a week in advance. Since the park opened at 9 am my family arrived at 9:10 or so. As we were about to enter they said the park was full at capacity. We did end up getting a refund that will be going in our credit cards in about a week. But they didn't give us tickets for any other Universal park. So my family ended up going to Aquatica.

Tim That's so cool that Madalyn recognized you when you sprayed her. She's been doing that to other unsuspecting guests the day before. You made her day when you confirmed your identity as The Tim Tracker. I was kinda shocked to see her yell out your name. She's been watching your vid preparing for our VB trip and then she got to meet you. Very very cool & memorable. That was a perfect VB day as we got there at 7:50 for early admission and stayed til 3pm; then returned at 5:45pm til closing. We stayed at Cabana Bay so it was easy to hop back in.

I visited the park today, it was awesome! The Tapu Tapu system is great, it just needs a few enhancements. The fearless river and wave pool were a great way to spend some time while waiting for other slides, and Krakatau was an amazing experience! Definitely coming back in the future.

Great video of all these rides. I think this virtual line thing may be perfect for water parks, in general. Especially due to weather. If it is too hot, you aren't exposed to the sun in less clothing. If it's rainy and everyone has to evacuate the pools, your spot in line is still there ( If you stay). Plus water parks, most people don't stay all day in them as opposed to theme parks where people plan to spend the whole day. With the virtual line, theme parks would be way too crowded because no one would be in line.

Me and my family rode most of the slides and went through the whole park by the afternoon. I did Kala and Tai Nui drop slides first, but my only regret was not doing Ko'okiri. It's definitely an awesome waterpark, and Universal did not disappoint.
