You hit the nail on the head. I've heard (from a team member) that the main reason behind the... "simpler" menus is that people were taking too much time trying to figure out what they wanted. Kind of ironic that when the park opened the eclectic menus were essentially a selling point because it wasn't traditional theme park food. Now they are back to traditional theme park food.

Sooo I have a question/comment/suggestion... For your theme park vlogs (especially Volcano Bay) would it be possible to put a graphic of the park map with a little Tim or Jen (maybe the ones from your logo) in a corner to mark where you are at certain points in the vlog, so we can see and have an idea where you are. You can even call it a Tim or Jen "Tracker" lol! I thought of it at 2:13 am laying in bed watching your new video obviously haha

We did Volcano Bay 3 times during our holiday, the first 2 visits were with EPA so we were in by 0730 & had an hour or so before it got busy. The third visit was by far the best - 5:00 pm on a cloudy afternoon which meant loads of people leaving & shorter wait times. Love this place, cannot wait to visit it again next time we go to Orlando.

Honestly went to Volcano bay for the first time yesterday, and I was severely dissapointed, having paid for premium sun beds, one would expect good service but after an hour of asking for a menu and not receiving one, had to get our own food, and the tapu, tapu is a good idea but is completely broken, as if you want to ride the big rides, you have to queue in the "virtual queue" for however long the time would be. For example Krakatau was 190 mins, and from that I then could not ride any other ride, and could only go in the wave pool or the lazy river, which is not what you would expect, having been in the park for several hours, and only being able to ride 3 slides, due to the broken queue system, is not what you would expect, the rides were very good, just the overall service and tapu tapu system is broken. Just a heads up for anyone new going to Volcano bay

We went to volcano Bay last week, the wave pool wasn't making any waves. And the faster lazy river had life jackets instead of tubes. Was fun!

Can't wait to see Volcano Bay again in a few years when all the kinks are straightened out. We went mid July (knowing how busy it would be), but we found that the wait times were impossible, and that we'd rather physically wait it out than do anything else. There's only so many times you can do the rivers, and the wave pool - it was impossible. Once our tapu-tapus buzzed, we still had a 25 minute wait for Krakatow. It was all a bit disappointing but that park is really promising :)

I love your guys videos of this place, you could just do these over and over and I'd constantly watch. What a shame about how many changes have happened in just the first couple of months. On your first trip there were the frog lanterns on the bridge, then they were gone, then the menu changes and all these other things,... Wow. It's been open a couple of months and already I'm longing for the "good old days back when it opened."

The idea behind this park was great! I don't think they actually thought it through for this size park though. Now it's a virtual queue, all those who would be queuing up the stairs to the ride are now all in the pools so you end up with all the pools and lazy rivers full of people in a "queue" so they end up overcrowded, the normal queuing system gets people out of the pools so you can actually be comfortable in the park. Coming here in September, hope its quieter but I'm not going to be able to spend 3 hours in the wave pool waiting to ride one ride!

What I loved about the slower lazy river is they have half rings with a little platform to sit on then lean back into ring, but as far as I could see they weren't available on faster river so couldn't go on that.

Went to volcano bay for the first time during a trip to Disney a few weeks ago GOT ON EVERY RIDE!! It was perfect because midday there was a quick thunderstorm and it drove most of the people out of the park...then after it just lightly rained for a majority of the day which kept all the wait times short and people who were thinking about going in probably seeing the rain and thought it'd be closed couldn't ask for a more perfect first experience this is the best water park of all time. Quick tip: In the morning go straight to krakatau the water coaster do not wait to grab a beach chair because that's what most people do throw your stuff in a locker and go straight there you'll get on in two seconds!

Hi Tim Went to Volcano bay on Tuesday . All the way from wales . Had a terrible time . Park was way to crowded and all rides had wait times of almost 240 mins . The maps are poor and the signage for the rides are very confusing . The fearless river is an accident waiting to happen as crowds of people fight for two few tubes . The tapoo system is confusing and large crowds were gathered around the staff who I felt pity for . We managed one ride . The following day we went to typhoon lagoon and had a brilliant day . So much better .

I love the people defending this abomination of a water park. The vast majority of reviews are negative, not due to capacity, but the fact it was opened way too soon with not well thought out 'fads' such as tapu. Great video as always though Tim. Keep living our dream :)

I was right behind you before you got out of the lazy river, I accidently hit your foot as it was just so busy I couldn't stop or the people behind me would hit. I've just got back to the UK and was in Orlando for 2 weeks. Went to Volcano Bay and got on 2 slides in about 3 hours. We went home at like 12/1pm. Next day did Aquatica (Seaworld Water Park). Far more enjoyable experience. As we left aquatica it said it was at capacity but we never really waited a long time for any of the slides and everyone in the park got a sunlounger which made the day far more enjoyable than Volcano Bay.

If a 250lbs person is going to break a slide that has 1,000 gallons of water rushing down it, That is Retarded. Do you have stats on how many GPM the slide uses? Because 1 Gallon is equal to about 8 Pounds. That's called Weight.

DykeZuki lol do you know how physics works? The general weight of the person weighing down the slide is not the reason for a weight limit. It's the increased velocity and rotational velocity of the person's added weight to keep the person from hurting themselves by going to fast, going over an edge or upside down in an enclosed tube. It has absolutely nothing to do with the additional weight the body puts on the slide itself.

While the enclosed slide circumference could play a role, I believe in this instance it was the amount of sustained weight on the mechanism of the trap door itself.

We visited a few weeks back and it was the worst day of our whole holiday. The park itself looks great but there are just too many people to enjoy anything. We got on two slides in 5 hours. Nothing works and the queues for food and drinks are nearly as long as the wait times for slides. Go to Typhoon Lagoon and save yourself a day of frustration! Come back here in a year when everything is running smoothly 👍🏻

I went to Volcano Bay on May 25th and May 28th. It might be crowded but MUCH more organized then when I went. No more rides filling up and all the Tapu Tapu effects are working. I think it was smart to have Universal keep the Tube slides as a ride now and use a physical line for that particular slide and to change the weight limit on the body slides to 230.
