Love the old silver! ANACS doesn't get the respect, but i think they do a great job at grading. I just wish they would listen to the masses and change their slab design. That proof Franklin was machine/ejection doubling. Happens a good bit when the dies shift slightly, usually right as the coin is getting ejected from the press. Good stuff, man! Keep on enjoying the hobby. That's what it's all about.

Best thing about collecting it's about what you like. Cool coins good video! Shout out to you using the OG Anacs

Details grades are great for type sets in my experience… you get a great discount on some excellent coins… seriously I got a AU58 Trade dollar with a chopmark for $300… that coin would be like $1000 otherwise so I think its a great bargain for a collector on a budget😁👍… the coin hasn’t been cleaned and its blast white

I hear you can buy Masterpieces that are damaged at reduced prices too. You can get a new car withy that new car smell with big scratches for a deal too. Not good to invest in though:( Always a reason it is a bargain.

Great video buddy! I agree that ANACS gets a bad rap. Their grading is as accurate and consistent as PCGS & NGC. They all have humans doing the grading, and they will all hit or miss at times. I have had submissions to all and experienced the good the bad and the ugly . I just keep trying to sharpen my eye to cleaned scratched etc details grades. Keep looking and comparing. I've come a long way by doing that! Keep on enjoying the hobby that's what it's about!

Haven't seen it lately but they did a report on grading services in greysheet Any guesses? PCGS 1 NGC 2 Anacs 3 IGC 3 What I was amazed at was PCGS was about 85% accurate mmmnnnn when I was at school I think that was a B or maybe Bplus. Hardly accolades.

Hey man its all about the enjoyment of collecting coins ! I have quite a number of details graded too, probably 30 to 40 of them. I bought all of them at fantastic prices too because other goober's like the one that commented they have no numismatic value always pass them up..great, I'll buy them. They're still coins. And i enjoy each and every one of them. I bought one of the aluminum briefcase type slab holders off Amazon, holds 100..its full so I'm looking at buying another. I can't afford MS everything so i buy what i can afford. Details coins STILL hold value despite what the goober wrote. Very much enjoy your videos, keep it up 💯😀

Hope you don't think me a "goober" I didn't see the post you are referring to. Telling someone something they don't want to hear aka unsolicited advice is no way to make friends. I will simply make a few statements. ANA is cheap grading. ANA is not respected by most dealers and professionals. Don't believe me just call a few mention what it is you have and see what they say with their pocketbook. Every coin has value but when you are buying damaged, cleaned, whizzed, problem or details coins again hard to sell sell for less so just know that going in when you buy it. It may look pretty to you but takes it out of investment/collect to ehhh junky. As an investment just get out an old redbook and see what goes up and how much. You will quickly see 1 100 dollar coin goes up more than 10 10.00 slightly cleaned or detail ------. Don't believe me I have only studied this for 52 years. Look at the research yourself. f that was not true we would all be hawking those wheat pennies and buffalo nickels in vg condition.

The prices in the quarterly Greysheet Market Review seem to be the most accurate and consistent at the various coin shows I go to. At least in my area. Cool coins. Like them all.

I don’t know where you got your prices from but you were way off your way way overpriced, especially on clean coins I would take at least 50 to 60% off those prices and then you’d be lucky to even get that on eBay
@hi-ol-ag48115 ай бұрын
I get the coin "value" from the pcgs "ValueView". I don't understand how you say I'm way, way, way, way, way... overpriced when I'm only going by value? I also clearly state in the video that I may be off on the value. Lets say, I put a value on a coin for $100 and you want to buy said coin. You accuse me of being way, way, way off and you take 60% off, that would leave the coin at $40, right? Well, I counter and offer it to you for $50, you accept. Hey, guess what? We have price. What I suggest is that you research "price vs value" on your preferred search engine. Then get back to me about being way, way, way, way off and overpriced? Thanks for watching!

@@hi-ol-ag4811 Interesting comment. I can "value" a coin based on ValueView then I can "price" it higher or lower. The buyer can value it what he wants and if no transaction so be it. I would say that he was correct as I looked some up on "real transaction on ebay" therefor value is more accurate. When you add in cleaned or damaged yes that brings the value and price lower in my opinion. Usually 1 to 2 grades lower in price.

All these coins are damaged and of little numismatic value!
@hi-ol-ag481110 ай бұрын
Correct, under the ANACS submission and special, the value of the coins must not exceed $500. Did you want to buy the 1919-D Walker? I'll give you a great deal.
@silvertrek35710 ай бұрын
It all depends on what you want in your collection. So what if it's been cleaned or has a little damage? If you're on a budget , get it for as cheap as you can. Enjoy the history! Upgrade later as you learn more and can afford better.

My collection is open-ended and has minor limits, I'm no millionaire. I have an idea! Why don't you post a video and display for all of us your high-end coins. We'd love to see your top-tier collection and maybe learn from your vast tutelage. I can't wait!
