Great videos, thank you. Obviously I am not after a diagnosis which is currently in the Dr's hands, but I would like your view on the relationship between marginally low RBC, combined with low Haemoglobin estimation and low Haematocrit. I am 63 years old, I train hard and cycle hard - pre Covid I cycled 13,500 miles in 2019. Turbo training for 2 years though Covid and recently combining both. For the past 2 years my Garmin VO2 Max estimation was 71, current VO2 Max estimation on Garmin is 66, I had Covid in Sep last year and 3 months to get over it (long Covid). My overnight resting HR is usual between 36-38; I recover quickly to a normal HR after sprints, etc, trying to maintain peaking at 165-170 on rare occasions, less if I can. I show absolutely no clinical signs and seem to have a lower breathing rate than my peers on climbs. I have an average BP of 88/56 for all readings for 2023, I have had an ECG and been cleared by NHS Cardiac & Endocrinology Depts with a comment "The patient is to be congratulated". Now I know the body is a clever device and if at rest my O2 requirements are met with less RB cells, etc as the amount I have meets my bodies requirements, then why would my body waste precious resources creating cells it doesn't need - or have I over simplified my self analysis?
