Thank you Doctor. Will listen to other video's. I have pernicious anemia and the B 12 def. I was in my early 30''s when it was found. When you mentioned the thyroid factor. It is in my family. I am trying to find out why I need to inject every 8 - 10 days. Again, than you so much.

Your explanation is very thorough. Thank you very much. It will help with my treatment plan of PA diagnosis and other autoimmune issue going on. I have senile osteoporosis also at age 59. Now I know the relation of osteoporosis, high calcium in my blood and hyperparathyroidism. I will talk with my doctor about this correlation. Thank you again!

good info....from what I am learning, folate/folic acid, which is in most processed foods these days, can mask a Vitamin B12 Deficiency. Please see Sally Pacholok's _Could It Be B12?_

Folic acid is vitamin B 9 needs to pregnancy and without it abortion may take place

Thank you. How long does it take for B12 supplementation to see healing in the nerves and motor and sensory function? Year?
@ninjanicnic6 жыл бұрын
Pretty good but not all PA will present mesoblastic and glossitis or nerve damage /neuropathy. Also as in all autoimmune patients may not have antibodies at time of test but may develop later or not but still have PA . Gene mutation may be cause . Loading doses should be until no further symptoms. The monthly or 3 monthly is not enough for reversal of symptoms or healing nerve and tissue damage. The maintenance dose is just enough to keep the person alive but with no energy and still in chronic pain . Shillings test no longer done . Look at active B12 tests for all low B12 (non diet related) MMA homocysteine and to a degree MCV (but this may rise and fall with other factors and not always be high Evan with a diagnosed PA) Better than some information but still flawed .

He didn't talk about one more C/F which is Dyspepsia as a result of achlorhydria .Achlorhydria occurs because of reduced HCL production as there is gastric atrophy of parietal cells and we know parietal cells secrete HCL hence achlorhydria and thus Dyspepsia. :)

Thank you Dr. Ashouk for liking my videos & for your suggestions. I do have plans for making some small duration videos where I will use powerpoint.
