The art style is literally the same as TCW season 7 and TBB. They’ve just retconned His hair to the hair he had during episode 2 and Ahsokas outfit was most likely changed due to how skimpy it was in the early seasons of TCW.

I'm guessing they're just retconning obi-wan's hair in the early clone wars; I think that's fair enough, given that they couldn't really animate hair at all in the first couple of clone wars seasons, which should have been shortly after episode 2. Or obi-wan just grew his hair out again in one of the time jumps within the clone wars, which would be a little weird but could also explain it. I think the main question is whether Ahsoka just has 2 different outfits, and this takes place very early in the clone wars (it doesn't have to be a retcon; people can wear more than one thing) or instead, maybe this is taking place within the season 3 time jump where we already know Ahsoka changes her outfit and gets her second lightsaber. The initial part of this episode definitely has to take place within seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the clone wars for multiple reasons. But I think you could speculatively say that it has to be in the later end of this range. The clones call Ahsoka "commander", which I don't think they do at the start of season 1, and I think Ahsoka looks older than in the early clone wars. But also, in "lightsaber lost", it seems like Ahsoka has never met (or at least never been introduced to) Terra Sinube, but here it seems like she must have been, if he's standing right there. So I would guess that this takes place after "lightsaber lost". Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I think it fits most naturally within the season 3 time jump where there's time and reason for the slight cosmetic changes.

@@timewellspent8137 indeed. I always felt that obi-wan and anakin in TCW looked too close to their RotS looks for the events that take place much closer to AotC. It's probably partly the earlier animation, partly that it came out in 2008 (so RotS would be the more familiar look), and partly just the artistic choice. I think I prefer this new look for those two, whether it's meant to be season 1, 2 or early season 3.

They changed the animation style slightly. Somebody in the comments already pointed that out. Besides updated graphics (Anakin’s hair now flows in the wind versus just laying flat all the time), and Asohka’s clothing to respect her age, everything is canon.

They said same things about Ahsoka in novels as well. That she’s a golden ballerina of the force and that she’s a lethal child. Anakin just has high standards for her but you have to remember that in TCW, he admits that Ahsoka is so skilled that he forgets how young she is. It means that Ahsoka’s abilities impress even someone like Skywalker. She’s able to keep up with him throughout all of TCW after all.

For those who aren't aware, The reason Obi wan has a mullet is due to them not having the budget to give him one back in 2008. Canonically Obi Wan had his Mullet throughout Seasons 1-2, Reasons why they need to give us a Clone Wars season 0/Introduction to Grievous, Assaj, Rex and Anakins Knighting and a remaster of the first two seasons

Likely a bit of a retcon to improve the transition between Attack of the Clones and Clone Wars. Technically the Clone Wars movie would have taken place shortly after the battle of Geonosis, that's why Anakin's hair is shorter here as well. It'd be one thing if this was some big coliseum type room with a bunch of spectators and you could spot Kanan and his master among the crowd, but putting them front and center like this is so fucking lame.
