Then, at the end, we see the horrible helmet of Vader, looking up into the sky, searching for Ahsoka, and if we look closely, we can see the faintest glimmer of those same blue eyes under the mask.

I watched Clone Wars S7 then ROTS, for the 5th time, and it really made me realize that the prequels version of Anakin has no personality. He always says exactly how he’s feeling, “I’m frustrated”, “I’m confused” etc. it’s just bad writing. And it’s not Hayden Christen’s fault at all. Oh man, I know. That moment always makes me think of the next and last time we see him in the show, as Vader. I actually saw this scene first right after the show had finished before I decided to watch it. And by the time I got to the final scene properly, I had the full context of that moment. After spending an entire series with Anakin and seeing him as a warrior, a protector, a leader, a jokester, a friend, a husband, and a mentor/big brother, that final moment is when I saw Vader in a way that never clicked with me before; as Anakin's tomb.
