My mind is BLOWN. Gaby seriously you are the Star Wars vidding queen. And I'm so happy Hannah got this vid from you because I know it's one that you wanted to make for a while and I'm so happy that I get to share in it by seeing the finished product. The song too had the perfect vibe for Anakin and Ben, the calm and the rage intermingled. My favorite bit was how you paralleled Obi-Wan and Luke as their masters, how in the end they could not see the struggle in their padawan's which led to them turning to the dark side. Seriously you picked out so many great parallels between them, and I especially loved the little flashes you did which felt like flickers or blending them together. And in the end they both chose to make the same sacrifice despite it all, the arcs parallel perfectly and you showed that so damn well. Love this!!!!!

Tbh I don't know much about the Star Wars fandom but this was AMAZING Gaby! Even with limited knowledge of the characters, you conveyed so many emotions and I could really see the parallels between the two. BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT THERE ARE TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE AT 7:14AM! this is absolutely beyond what even i thought it would be. your lyrical interpretation is flawless and your use of action scenes (of which you are an editor whose talent in that arena is unparalleled) elevates the video to another level. i’m obsessed with the scenes that parallel leia and padme as they helplessly watch someone they love fall to the dark side, that’s such a good touch and one that I think is integral to both Ben and Anakin’s arcs. I loved the constant repeated motifs of the council during anakin’s scenes to represent the suffocating and often hypocritical legacy of the Jedi and how that in turn affected Ben. you really showed so much about their dual arcs in the way I knew you would when we discussed this video and i feel like my own love for them both is showcased to perfection in this. they’re two lonely, flawed people who made all the wrong choices until they didn’t. I also love how you didn’t hold back from the scenes where they DID so many bad things like the Han scene and the younglings scenes. i thought that grounded the video in a more serious tone and allowed you to explore “villainy” in Star Wars and how in their cases it feeds into their guilt and grief and inability to find hope. and THEN using that set up to establish that STILL in spite of all the pain they wrought and all the trauma they personally feel, there’s someone who believes in their will to be good (leia, padme, han and rey). sorry to get on a soap box but really this is my dream song for both of them and I’ve thought about it so much and it’s so beautiful to see the idea rendered by someone on your caliber. I will 100% be coming back to comment on favorite moments (THE WAY YOU HIT THE BEAT WITH BEN’S FEET SLIDING ON THE GROUND AT THE END OF TLJ! LUKE AND OBI-WAN TELLING THEIR PROTÉGÉE THAT THEY FAILED THEM!) but just know that I’m so deeply in love with this and really appreciate getting the chance to request a video from you gaby, one of my favorite editors for almost a decade ❤️❤️❤️
