From the lyrics, I would guess that she’s singing about a friend who took her own life.
@peenusweenus31693 жыл бұрын
You'd be mostly correct. The groups music is all concept albums telling the story of Amy and Elma. Theres a good post on wattpad that sums of the lore of yorushika.
@dooflegoof3 жыл бұрын
this song ain't about elma and amy, but yeah, you were right, her friend took his own life there's a song from his perspective called 'Ghost and a cloud'

I highly recommend you to react to these Yorushika songs: 1. Thoughtcrime 2. Hitchcock 3. Nautilus Each has different categories. I'd say Thoughtcrime highlights suis' vocals the most, Hitchcock highlights n-buna's composing skills, and Nautilus will make you dig deeper about Yorushika's lore.

i'm sold! there will be more Yorushika's reaction for sure.

@@AnakiraJapan you should give a listen to 1. 夕凪、某、花惑い 2. 心に穴が空いた 3. 八月、某、月明かり I think only "A Whole Opened Up in My Heart" has an MV but the other songs are probably some of my favorite J-Rock to date!

I love how near the end of the song we have a small moment of silence and then when the instruments pick up again, there is so much tension that builds up at a fast rate, and its brought to a beautiful climax, its just so *nice*

"Say it" is the first song that I listen from Yorushika and I love it like "Hitchcock" too. Because of I like that art style, soft voice but that feel concerns . I am not good at language Therefore my translation is poor. But this song, I can easily understand the meaning through the MV of this song. And it made me feel encouraged to say or do something I had never done before.

I love this song! Have you heard Hitchcock (by the same person)? If not, you should. You should also listen to more of this person, Amatsuki, Soraru, more Eve, more Mafumafu, XYZ (and the individual people in it), Urata, Sakata (aho no sakata), and USSS (Urata, Sakata, Shima, and Senra)

Artists like Yorushika are the main reason why I love japanese music so much. "That's Why I Gave Up On Music" is probably my favorite song of them, at least in terms of lyrics. Idk if you take random requests but check out Polkadot Stingray - エレクトリック・パブリック if you want a similar sound. Also, I really like how you analyze the lyrics of the song you're reacting to. It makes the video so much better.

Most of their song has come in 4 albums that tells the story of Elma (F) and Amy (M). This one in particular is written from the female perspective and also the style of music itself tells part of the story where most of Amy's and the story wise last ones of Elma have strong guitars. Probably Deep Indigo is one of my favorites from that story but their most recent one Thought Crime is currently my favorite outside that story.

This track is part of a huge story regarding various songs from Yorushika. This particular is focused on the feelings of depression, loneliness and missing of a girl who has lost a loved one. So is basically a very sad song that looks sweet but it's not. There is another song that expresses the guy's point of view and his feelings too.
@aki_TONE4 жыл бұрын
Oh I super agree. Yorushika is mindblowing. As a former songwriter, I extremely loved "Why I Gave Up on Music". If you like Yorushika and ZUTOMAYO too, then I highly reccomend TUYU. A fun one to start with is "Kuraberarekko"/"Compared Child". TUYU's guitar work is wicked, while the lyrical content tends towards a profound sadness that's strangely elegant yet relatable. ... also, fun fact: Yorushika and TUYU's composers have a shared background as VOCALOID producers. That scene tends to churn out some pretty witty/expressive songwriters. (Wowaka from hitorie's another personal favorite from this scene.)

I hope you get more subs man, you seem like a reaction channel that puts effort into your videos by studying the songs lyrics and making yourself aware of a group before you react to them, also I love this song especially the guitar riff, and if I had to recommend a song it would be Re I Am by Aimer, the song has this incredibly epic feel to it and a somber tone with its lyrics I think you'll really enjoy it

I have to disagree with that one. I believe the song tells about life in general, where the writer expresses how living can be tiresome and refusing to do something and slack off is often seen as a sin or at the very least, being selfish.
