Most definitely. It's amazing how they started off in the same vein as Joyo but broke into the mainstream retailers. It's super rare for a brand to transition from what many considered a generic brand to a respectable brand.

@@AnthonyChhan Yeah, the industrial design of this pedal is above average. It looks like a big pedal instead of a car stereo or a retro video game console. And I think Eastman is doing that in guitars. It is rare. Eastman started out selling hand made Gibson copies which have now become nearly as expensive. Now they have their own designs.

Nice review, but I prefer a clean sound so that you can perceive the differences in that sound on your computer. Like your demonstration with the microphone placements. You can never really do much with distorted sounds in the reviews shown. Not meant negatively by the way. Merry Christmas and a good 2024!

I bought the Trident to replace my Pod go....hands down, I like the Trident much better. The tone of the amps are much better especially on the high gain amps, it does lack in delay and reverb options but maybe with firmware updates they will add a few more. Overall, great sounding pedal board and easy to use.

Can you make the pitch block function as an octave pedal? How are the uses of the expression pedal? Any fuzz option?

The Trident is awful compared to the GP 200 by Valeton. I had the Trident it was a gone 2 days later, the tap tempo drove me crazy, The Valeton is loaded with expression pedal, tons of sounds, tons of effects, great IR’s. The amp Modeling is better.

Great video as usual, much appreciated. I have the Axe FX3 MK2 with the FC-12 foot controller, however for gigging in clubs or smaller stages, it's a bit too much, I've been thinking of the Fractal FM3 or FM9, but at this price point for the NUX NME-5 that I can use in stereo, this may just be the right solution.

Really love the unit and you showcased it very well. I'm well on the outer here though, I didn't like how it sounded. I thought for want of a better word it sounded very 'digital' or perhaps in reverse not very 'organic'. I don't often comment on these types of pedals, largely because they 'all' offer a crazy amount for relatively little and so mostly they depend on budget and the players needs/uses. Maybe some 'cleaner' tones or just some tweaking would change my thoughts here on how it sounds Cheers Shane.

Nice demo!! Question: Is there a way to shut off the amp simulator with one of the buttons? I would use this mainly for direct recording but for the occasional gig I'd love to be able to shut the amp sim off and use a fuzz tone. Also have you A/B'd this unit with the Nux Cerebrus? I like the EFX pedal insert options of the Cerebrus but the Trident seems to sound fatter in all the demos I've seen .

You can push both dials at a time to dive into the global settings, and in there you can find a menu to turn off the amp sim and cab sim.

Beware if you want to connect it to a real amp. It's really hard to disable the cabinets and IR stuff on the ME90. Therefore it sounds like a horrible mess on a tube amp. It will destroy your ears and tube tone with strident and fizzy trashed up sounded. Just horrible

It's easier to use thanks to the main controls on the top. The interface with the screen isn't as easy as some, but the computer experience is excellent. The sound quality on most of these units are the same these days. It sounds great.

Todays multi effects pedals are all effective. You are a perfect example that any of these pedals will generate the great sound you're looking for as you get great sounds out of every one you've reviewed. For me it now comes down to simplicity of use. I went with the Valeton GP200.

@@MinhMinh-z5s The only draw back with the GP200 is you can't stack drive pedals which may be an issue for some. I use a Boss OD200 in front of the chain and it works well. Most folks have an extra drive pedal anyway.
@MinhMinh-z5s
@MinhMinh-z5s 4 ай бұрын
@@smacker360 Many thanks! I check the OD200 you mentioned, it seems to be difficult for me to create good sound as I am not experienced into these. The more I dig into these, now there are so many gears that are difficult to choose (my goal as inexperienced gear player, is to choose those ready to use (presets) decent sounds at first steps, before exploring and creating new personal sounds). Now my shortlist contains also NUX MG-30 (seems to have "OK" factory patches), Boss GX-100 (seems easy to use but factory presets are disappointing to me), Line6 Pod Go, and NUX MG-101 (cheap, but I won't probably keep long once I have more experiences). Thanks for all.
