My favorite thing about hardware is not the sound but the fact you can layer spatial effects or built in effects without over taxing the CPU. And typically latency is very low coming directly out of the hardware. Sound can be shaped in infinite ways if we have the knowledge of how within our workflow. But there is nothing wrong with getting from point a to point b faster and with less steps which is typically the biggest advantage for myself with hardware. My favorite advantage with vst's is very low If not zero maintenance cost and zero heat added to the studio and costs much less in electricity at the end of the month.

Fantastic video. I’m at my 10th synth. Most are all analog and a couple are hybrid. I have from the $49 Behringer JT4000 to the Oberheim TEO 5, Moog Sub Phatty, Rolan Fantom EX 6, Korg Minilogue, etc… there definitely is a difference for artists looking for tracks. are noticing. Tracks are standing out. Sure, takes longer to track but well worth it. Great video!!!

Running the Prophet Rev II through the Fatso is great to beef up the sound. I went with the Korg Prologue as it has the built in compressor and VCOs instead of DCOs so I don't need to run it through anything plus there is a third digital oscillator that can be customised, so the Prologue covers the bases and is ideal to sequence with the MPC. Either a Prophet Rev II or a Prologue alongside a Moog Subsequent 37 and you are set
