“If u pick up the camera after 20 or 30 years…” just happened. Being new in town, I asked an old timer at my job if he could recommend a shop for finding an old school Polaroid camera. He went in the back room and came out with a 30 year old Sun 600 LMS and handed it to me with a smile. He said, “It’s my gift to you.” Thank you, Nevzat for the camera and thank you Marco for the instruction. Cheers!

Thank you, I found my wife’s 600 after 30 yrs in the garage and we both didn’t remember how it worked. We had an idea but we found it funny we had to relearn how to use a 30 yr old camera we used for many years lol. Thanks for the refresh. My 12 yr old daughter is amazed with it. The brightness feature and flash really helped me out. I got a great deal on my camera, I bought it at a local thrift store for only $2, half off from its original price. Online mine sells for about $130 So far I've bought only 3 packs of film because they are expensive for me. And I've been pretty sparing with them so they've lasted quite a while. I have some weird taken photos but I like that sort of raw, unfiltered, somewhat unprofessional look. But as I progress I'm sure to get more and more better photos. Thank you for this tutorial, it was very insightful!

Just scored one of these for 20$ at an antique store and I doubted it was going to work from the low price and the fact that it had a REALLY old film cartridge still inside that had massive sun damage....But I removed the old film and tested it with new film just like you recommended and it worked so well that the noise of it ejecting the film pack cover actually scared me! I've been using my mother's original Polaroid Supercolor Espirt for awhile now and after watching this video have discovered I wasn't using it as well as I could! Straightforward guide, very informative. Love this video, thank you.

Thank you for the video. I bought one when they were new and just found it buried in a closet. Seems the new film is of better quality so I look forward to trying it out.

Can you change the strap on the 600? I wanted to get a longer strap but have no idea whether the current black thing band can come out!

I got one of these cameras and just ordered film to test it out! I found it at an outdoor flea market. I actually bought another camera and the guy at the booth threw this one in for free just to get rid of it. I'm so excited to try it out now!

this video was very helpful. thank you!! i just have one question. So i bought this camera for only $1 at a rummage sale and the lady said it was perfectly in good condition. I don’t have any film in it yet, and my green light doesn’t turn on when i open it or pull the trigger on the side.

Thank you for this video. I recently picked up an unused version of the Polaroid camera my grandfather had when I was young. What was initially going to be a small experiment has now become a very exciting project. This video has been super-helpful.

I have a cool cam 600 and the far focus distance bothered me as I wanted to do portraits, so I ended up buying one of these after watching this video. Very informative and clear, thank you

Thanks for being there! I just found an old polaroid Supercolor 635L that has never been used. There is film inside but nothing is happening... no flash charging either... hoping that if I buy new film and cartridge that it will work...

I've come across this exact model like others here and this was the most convenient and easy guide to help me familiarize myself with the Polaroid 600. Got some film on the way and excited to use it soon!

I bought one of these back in 2010 at a goodwill for $1.49 plus tax. This year I got the new One Step Two for Christmas with some extra film and tried it in the 600. Works like a charm! Thanks for showing me how to work it!

One question. When you put a new cartridge in, and the batteries are "working", they stop working when you close the flash light? Or they keep running out and even when you are not using the camera if the cartridge is still in? Thank you very much, great video, you helped me a lot!! :)

What light is ideal to take pictures and how should you use the input of light to manipulate that. And how should you let it develop? In a dark room or face down etc?
