+1 for the DOD Rubberneck

I love my Rubberneck! It's definitely my go-to analog delay these days. I had the Donner and sold it because it was just superfluous with all the other delaysI have. But it was a great little pedal and built like a tank. Some other favorites analog delays not featured here are the Teisco Delay, the JPTR FX Fernweh, and the Industrialectric Echo Degrader.

I've heard a lot of great things about all of those. I've been really meaning to try out the Teisco range! They seem excellent in all the reviews I've seen. Thanks for watching, and for the recommendations!

great job!

Thank you! Took ages to get these pedals together, film the video, and even longer to edit, so I'm glad you enjoyed it! I just wish the audio didn't keep clipping so much, but it's hard to avoid when the repeats start to oscillate.

I have a boss dm3 and the behringer clone. Several older digital delays, Dan-Echo, a Digitech, but my fav is the Line 6 echo park.

Yes! I nearly added my DigiDelay and Echo Park to this line-up, but decided that two digital pedals in an "analogue" shoot-out, was already pushing it. 😄

Ive tried very expensive analog delays and nothing has yet to beat my Visual Sound h2o. Very cheap on Reverb now.

Oooh, good shout. I've always meant to try a VS/Truetone pedal. They seem to get rave reviews.

@Pedal Experiments I had their route 66 which i hated, but love the h2o. Sadly, the Chinese v2 model has been proven more reliable than my original v1 American model. Both sound incredible.

@Pedal Experiments Its not good for "The Edge" style dotted 8th notes, however it is very great for Gilmour'ish and Neal Schon'ish style soaring leads, or as a simple delay for clean stuff. The Chorus is simple and fantastic as well. I dont care for the slapback short delay switching, but the long delay is great!

Good to know. I'll keep a look out for one! 👍

@Pedal Experiments Heres the best demo Ive seen for it, not a lot of views but pretty thorough, most importantly you can hear how it doesnt color your tone: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4bNnJmkf712mJY

Before watching this video I would have said that my favorite analog delay is the DOD Rubberneck, but after watching this video my favorite analog delay has to be the DOD Rubberneck :) Vapor Trail is also pretty cool, and the Donner does sound great and is a killer option for the price if you don't need any more features. But Rubberneck remains the king.

It's pretty damn hard to counter that opinion. Haha! 😄 For me, it's very, very close between the Rubberneck and Vapor Trail Deluxe. Almost too close to call. I really need to get off my arse and make a demo for the VTD... 🤔 Thanks for watching!
