Mr.Leu there is no consideration for pile cap soil structure interaction, hence the introduction of a pile cap spring will reduce the forces on the pile since the soil structure interaction of pile cap is not addressed in most references it's better not to use it.

Of course, you're right. We can ignore 100% of the soil integration under pile caps of bored piles. If we have to optimize the bearing capacity of soil, we should include it. why? because for deep foundations, when the group piles settle under service loads, skin friction starts to work first, then end bearings and bearings at the bottom of the pile cape also work, respectively. We can consider this pile cap as a shallow foundation; subtract the area of the bored pile to resist the self-weight of the bored pile, and surcharge in case our pile cap stands on soil; otherwise, if the pile cap does not stand on the pile, it's invalid to consider that.
