It makes me really angry that Ubisoft had the gall to claim it would have had no longevity as a single player game when Siege has had several controversies that almost culled its whole playerbase, and its gameplay has not changed meaningfully in the 5 years of its existence despite them adding so many things that betray its original style and concept
@damienscott65614 жыл бұрын
@@TooMuchSascha Patriots cancellation has nothing to do with AAA-publishers bias against single-player games. There was an article several years ago and basically Patriots was in development hell for a very long time: there was no unified creative vision, nothing worked or was fun to play. That video about terrorist attack on a bridge wasn't even supposed to be seen by public: it's so called "vertical slice" - basically pre-rendered cutscene that looks like the actual gameplay that developers pitch to higher management for the greenlight. I'm disappointed in it's cancellation too, but there was no game in the first place.

The thing with terrorist hunt here is that the spawns are always randomized, and IA in general is quite dumber so as soon as you fire a shot or kill one of them, they'll rush there and start swarming you. At one point they'll start to spawn behind you too so it's just frustrating. That's the issue. In the first Vegas, terrorists used to actually flank you, not just directly spawn behind a closed door behind you and get a quic cheap shot
@Jarekthegamingdragon3 жыл бұрын
@@porota6224 This isn't true. The spawns aren't randomized in Vegas 2. Terrorists will always spawn in certain locations depending on the routes you take. They also will fire at your location while others try to flank. Vegas 2's terrorist hunt in general was A LOT easier than the first game.

Magical things happened in terrorist hunt. The spawn system would love to plop terrorist even directly behind you when you weren't looking. That nerve wracking feeling when there is 1 terrorist left (unspawned), you're on your last respawn and your buddies are dead. You'd never know where that bastard would pop out of and kill you in one hit. I don't think I've ever been as frustrated and nervous with a multiplayer co-op game but boy did it feel great when you finally pulled off a map on Realistic. Also, equipping a silenced pistol made you magically silent sometimes, so you could run around and the terrorists wouldn't react unless you walked right into their line of sight. Although it didn't seem to work consistently enough to not get you killed by a 180 noscope terrorist when you least expected it. Many fond memories of this game, and would definitely like to see a proper sequel.

One of the most frustrating bugs I encountered in Vegas 2 was in t-hunt on villa, if you go in the garage and up the stairs, you can take cover next to the door, and when the door opens you can't blind fire. Which is terrible because there's usually a huge crowd when the door opens, and you cant do anything about it. Once the door is open, if you leave cover, and re-enter, THEN you can blind fire...

I just wanted to point out Gabe's motives are for selling out the team. Irena's boss (who remains unknown at the end of both Vegas games) brought Irena and Gabe together on the terrorist plot. Vegas 2 has the problem of nearly ignoring the shadowy boss at the top to make Gabe the primary villain. I'm not sure why the game's writers decided to ignore the more intriguing bigger plot but it is why I feel Vegas 2 had the worse writing of the two games.

Once again, you completely nailed it, Jarek. Gotta say.... after thinking about what you said, yeah.... The more punishing style of Vegas 1 terrorist hunt is extremely enjoyable. Plus, you can use the XM-26. Haha. I've always gotta go with the Scar-H with a hi cap mag, the 500 Tactical with a laser sight for no beneficial reason (I think), and any pistol really. But the Glock with a hi cap mag is always fun. The Raging Bull with a laser sight for no reason as well. What does the laser sight even help with, really? I figure you would know given the elite level you've reached with the Vegas games. And I don't mean the rank, I mean your general skill and knowledge of the intricacies. Oh, I wanna share a short funny story about the sniper rifle blind fires. My friends never figured out the exploit. So in CO-OP, I would do it, and my friends would always crap themselves with laughter and shock. I never told them about the exploit, by the way. They never figured it out either, despite having reached Elite level 60 or so. Haha.

The laser improves hip fire accuracy and general accuracy while moving. It's really useful on pistols, shotguns, and smgs. Really any cqb type weapon.

Love this game. I played this game through my freshman year of college with my best friend. We logged about as many hours on terrorist hunt as both of us did on Skyrim combined (hundreds of hours). I am not normally much of a gamer, so that's way out of character for me. The gun details aren't perfect, but they are satisfying. I normally ran the MP7 with a laser sight, and the M468 with an ACOG. Raging Bull with a laser sight as a sidearm. Sometimes I cheated on my M468 with the FNC or Tavor depending on how long range close range the map was going to be. The G3 was good as an improvised sniper if you didn't want to tore a real sniper rifle. The shotguns in this game are boss though. Shotgun and Assault rifle is a great load out if you don't want to be subtle at all. To say nothing of how long I've spent on the character customization. Gotta look just right you know? I think when my wife and kid go to bed I'll get my copy back up and get myself killed in terrorist hunt a few times for old time's sake.

Honestly I’ve never 100% agreed with one of your reviews when I’ve watched them but this one i have to say I couldn’t agree more. I’m just glad someone else shares my opinion on siege i couldn’t have put it better myself “f**k siege” lol 👌👍

Siege isn't bad it just doesn't deserve to be a rainbow six game but yeah fuck siege I was addicted for 4 years I know everything about it I think it should get renamed to just siege and they are working on a other rainbow six game that's going to be zombies wtf

Me and my mate used to play terrorist hunt on realistic with max terrorist count and when we’d get to 1 enemy remaining we would swap to M9s and hunt them down. We’d refer to it as “John McClane-ing”. We died so many times from charging round the corner and getting shot by the last terrorist.
