@stevenorris125 күн бұрын
In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 1.2m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first break through with a liquid 370k. Handed it to a trader here in TX, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Tesla will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.

Even if it just gives 4% dividend growth long term, long term inflation is just 3%. So, that’s still solid. As long as those divvies keep increasing, even in a recession, that’s what you needs.

I love SCHD and currently own 2604 shares. I regularly buy more shares, but I also invest in growth stocks/ETFs. Right now, I focus on growth, but I plan to switch to dividend-paying value stocks/ETFs eventually. I think it's a difficult question to answer. However, my plan that I mentioned in the video, was that I plan to DCA and double down on any major drop. Short term may be a Rollercoaster, but in ten years if the company does 10X......it won't matter. Waiting for the perfect moment........may result in a person waiting 10 years for a specific number that never comes. If anyone gave me an exact number to look for, I wouldn't trust them because stock prices are sometimes more psychological than financial.

Long term I see them as having the most potential. I'm interested to see how much growth they can get from their energy sector. Thanks for great analysis Brian. What is your thought on the rule of 40 as a metric for grading companies like Palantir?
@BusinessWithBrian27 күн бұрын
Great question! I relied heavily on the rule of 40 when I was first investing. It's a very good guardrail to guide us along. Only relevant to SaaS companies, but a good approach. The hangup i have with the rule of 40 is when companies are making fundamental changes and about to break out. This was the case for Palantir 18 months ago. The rule wasn't good for Palantir at that time, but it was quickly improving. That's where the guardrail can hold me back from a good opportunity. But as a general rule, I truly like the rule of 40. Great question

However, none of the stocks, though all great stocks, will have 10x next 10 years, except TSLA, maybe PLTR. BTW, NVDA is my largest holding. In my opinion, the stocks that are most likely to be 10x next 10 years are TSLA, TSM, maybe PLTR and SOFI. The latter two are too early to tell.

Thank you for your analysis. PLTR - LOL - I had 500 shares purchased at $21 and sold just over $32. Took the profit and expected a pullback of 10% or more and I’d go right back and purchase more PLTR after skimming the profit. Whoops. Goes to show you never realy know. The stock has so much hype it doesn’t want to pullback; which is strange with the extremely high PE making anyone normally think it is oversold. I will wait for that major pullback = even 15% - and get back in UNLESS it is over $45. You ARE RIGHT this is a stock to INVEST for the longterm. Patience.

This is an interesting comment. I'm intrigued. You used the term "average". How much does that term and reference of "average" move the needle on your investments? I am being genuine. If you were to look back 20 years on every major growth company today, would their averages encourage or dissuade you in investing? Something to consider.

@@BusinessWithBrian With established companies I avoid P/E ratios more than 3x the S&P average, so when it reaches 90 I hesitate , except for short term trades. Short term when the market isn't volatile I will take more chances. But long term I avoid. With new companies I'll swing trade. Holding long term doesn't make sense to me especially now given the high volatility. And one of the better bets I want to take a look at is the Biotech market right now. If NVDA was broken up into smaller pieces with smaller market caps would you still say its growth was limited?
@BusinessWithBrian26 күн бұрын
Good question. I'd say it depends. But there isn't any part of their business worth $200 Billion or less that hits on all the criteria to 10X. Maybe in a year or two, they'll have a medical division that has major growth potential. If it were to break off, then it could have the potential to 10X hypothetically. But none of their GPU businesses (IMO) could break off and do it under today's information. That's my opinion today. But I am humble enough to learn from new information and change my mind when warranted.

AMD is already nipping at Nvidia's heels. Plus, AMD's architecture using Chiplets to deal with scaling limits is far more advanced than Nvidia's monolithic approach. Saying it will take 5 or 10 years for anyone to catch up is totally misguided.
@BusinessWithBrian26 күн бұрын
Ummmmmm.......as I mentioned in the video, Nvidia has more than 90% market share in the server GPUs. Do you believe AMD will catch up in 5 to 10 years? You're certainly welcome to. You invest your way and I'll do me.
@AlMoreno-p7j26 күн бұрын
@@BusinessWithBrian You can say the same thing with Intel owning over 90% of the CPU market until Lisa Su took over in 2014 and by 2017 AMD was already chipping away at their market share. And AMD was near bankruptcy in 2014. So, in 10 short years she's turned AMD into a powerhouse. And now her aim is clearly on becoming a GPU powerhouse for data centers. I'm not betting against her considering everything she's accomplished. Your 5 to 10 year prediction is completely off base when AMD today has GPU's for data centers that are already very competitive against Nvidia with less cost and greater efficiency. I own both, but based on my technical background AMD to me is clearly in a stronger position for growth for the reasons I mentioned before.
@BusinessWithBrian26 күн бұрын
@AlMoreno-p7j No worries. Like I said. You do you. I also have a tech background. I like your example of Intel and Amd. But even today, AMD only has 24% processor share. Yes, they've made huge strides, but not equal strides. Anything is possible, but my money is more on Nvidia than AMD. And I own both too. They'll both do very well over time. Thanks for the note.

Great selection. I picked up nvidia at. $200/ share in 2021. Then market crashed to $180s. …. I never thought it will do what it has done. …. Sadly I don’t own palantir. I feel as I missed the boat on that one. I might DCA into a small position. Great selection Brian

Sorry one question : What is the reason for 67 PE ratio for Tesla ? Is there a possibility to hear the inversion case for Tesla - to understand- where they could be making mistakes but are not ?

For tesla, it comes down to earnings. They had a drop, and the price of stock is relatively high. It's now over 73. I know profits and earnings will go up from here, because I think they learned from the mistake.

Palantir and Crowdstrike shouldn’t be any more than 20-25 billion dollar companies on the high side, way too rich with no margin of safety. Tesla at this point is just Elon’s inflated concept of an idea that he keeps dragging retail traders through years of. Nvidia shows promise with the continued demand but there’s still a tremendous amount of momentum based on very high expectations, it’s a crowded trade. For me Meta would be the only buy at this point.
