Kathleen Kennedy (born June 5, 1953) is an American film producer who has been president of Lucasfilm since 2012.
In 1981, Kennedy co-founded the production company Amblin Entertainment with Steven Spielberg and her eventual husband Frank Marshall. Her first film as a producer was E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). A decade later, again with Spielberg, she produced the Jurassic Park franchise, the first two of which became two of the top ten highest-grossing films of the 1990s. In 1992, she and Marshall founded The Kennedy/Marshall Company. In 2012, Kennedy became the president of Lucasfilm after The Walt Disney Company acquired the company.
As Lucasfilm's president, Kennedy has overseen the development, production, and release of projects such as the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015-2019), the Star Wars standalone films Rogue One (2016) and Solo (2018), and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023). She has also produced various Star Wars series for Disney+ including The Mandalorian (2019-present), The Book of Boba Fett (2021), Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), and Andor (2022-present).
Kennedy has produced Spielberg-directed films which have earned over $11 billion worldwide, including five of the fifty highest-grossing movies in film history. As a producer, she has received eight Best Picture Academy Award nominations (That are completely underserved).

Something I think the fanboys forget is that George Lucas willingly sold Lucasfilm. I place a lot of blame on him personally. He sold his company, to a company which he referred to as ‘the white slavers,’ for 4.05 billion dollars. Star Wars is priceless and worth way more than 4.05 billion on its own. Disney is a corporation, and they will milk every nickel and dime from the Lucas brand. They don’t care about Star Wars; they care about money. What did you expect? You act as if Kennedy is pulling all the strings, but it’s mostly Disney. She’s just the face and, subsequently, the fall ‘guy’ when things go south. Eventually, they’ll fire her, and you’ll all cheer, then the cycle will start anew with a brand new buffoon. Lucas didn’t need to sell his company; he could step away and still have the power to intervene, and if he actually cared about his work, he would have preserved it. If Lucas wanted Kennedy, why not let her run things and then have the power to replace her?

Actually Kathleen Kennedy is partially responsible for some amazing films. Jurassic Park (the original), Indiana Jones (the 80's ones), Back to the Future, Schindler's List, ET were all films she played an active part in producing. Look it's simple. George Lucas did something to Kathleen Kennedy that made her despise him in every manner and want to seek revenge on him. She got her opportunity when she was handed Star Wars and the rest is history. She's destroying his creation in front of his eyes as an act of revenge for something in the past that's stuck with her all these years. He's on record stating how she was too stupid to get a cup of coffee which suggests their relationship wasn't a good one. It's one of those things where revenge isn't sought out until the opportunity lands in your lap and well, it landed in her lap. Some people never get over things other people do to them and this is a perfect example of just that. His legacy is being destroyed to a point where it cannot be fixed. The whole series would have to be retconned back to the prequels and I don't see that happening in my lifetime.

He feels there were too many CGI effects used and the way I understand him - too many CGI effects produced a too varied story line. Charlie Jesus or Penguin0z is among those who liked the film. I agree with Mr. Harrison Ford and wish that she would have listened more closely to his advise, so they would have waited with the film to make the story line less complex and more spectacular and focused on Indy and his family.

I think you forgot to mention the use of diversity as a shield against constructive criticism. KK and her ilk at Disney think that they can just sprinkle in a few black/brown, gay, or female characters and get away with minimum effort and planning with their films and shows because they can just blame the fans for being -ists and -phobes when the project flops. Also, they are preoccupied with the wrong kind of diversity in Star Wars. In a galaxy of hundreds of different species, many of whom have cultures and societies that are hardly touched on, especially in canon, why are we trying to cram in more different shades of humans? Come on, with all the technological advances made since the OT and a far greater budget for custom and makeup, now would be the perfect time to get to know all these aliens better, yet they still insist on diversifying the human element.

I don't understand why people complain about Venom in Spiderman when each entry of the trilogy deals with a different aspect of heroism, with Venom being a literal manifestation of the ego and arrogance one must fight against lest the hero go down the path of selfishness that Norman Osborne did in the first movie. Well this is refreshing. Someone who knows what a producer does and doesn't do. This idea that KK was a "producer" so she's some sort of Hollywood genius is bollocks. There are all sorts of "producers", Executive, Supervising, Associate etc. some of these are merely titles given to people who contribute money (Executive) or conversely given to people who contribute in lieu of paying them (Associate). "Producer" is a nebulous term. KK was never the creative force in any project she worked on. She was a functionary.

I can vouch 100% for the accuracy of Venom being foisted onto Sam for Spidey 3, but it was not just at the behest of Avi [who, I hasten to add, was an excellent producer, and is the only reason that a Marvel Cinematic Universe ever came together in the first place]. Sony was taking no chances at the box office for the third film. Being one the most popular villains ever, both Sony & Avi wanted Venom in the story to guarantee ticket - and merchandising - sales. All of this happened very late into the game, and Sam was bending over backwards trying to find ways to shoehorn Venom into a film for which a schedule had already been created and locations booked. I would also like to point out that he offered a perfect counter-proposal - introduce Eddie Brock into the story, but allow the main arcs to play out as intended - then have Brock turn into Venom in the last scene - the perfect cliffhanger to setup a Spider-Man 4. Sony nixed the idea.
