Angela has got to be one of the most tragic characters I have ever seen and its such a raw, unfiltered portrayal of what that level of trauma can do to a person. It doesn't shy away from having her come off as abrasive, difficult to speak with and in a lot of cases, especially not knowing what happened to her, as straight up unlikable in how hostile she can be toward James for seemingly no reason. But most people who go through abuse on that level don't come out the other side brimming with kindness and with a heart of gold despite all that's happened to them like a lot of media portrays it, they become broken, bitter, paranoid and in a lot of cases unpleasant to be around. Its such a deeply disturbing and gut wrenching story one that, like so many cases, does not have a happy ending but one where a completely innocent person who suffered beyond comprehension at the hands of monsters can't find any reason to keep going and succumbs to their despair. There aren't many popular stories willing to tackle such a unbelievably heavy subject matter completely head on with no sugar coating and it really makes it stand out as particularly powerful.

The Maria ending seems to mirror the fate of Eddie and Angela with both ending up succumbing to their struggles. Eddie falls for his desire to get revenge on others, Angela decides she no longer wants to live with herself, and James falls to the desires he had when Mary was sick. It's not my preferred ending but feels fitting in that all three end up falling to a dark fate.

It's worth pointing out that at different times, Mary intimated to James that she wanted to live and that she also didn't. My interpretation was always that James derived mixed motivations from this, compassion, selfishness, frustration, etc. and that the source of his torment lied in his inability to say with certainty why he did what he did. He snapped because both his better nature and his worse were telling him to do something terrible that he ultimately couldn't bear the guilt of. In the leave ending he comes to terms with that awful part of himself, in the in water ending he is unable to do so, and in the Maria ending he embraces it. In the new bliss ending he simply avoids the question all together and decides to live in a fantasy version of the past.

I agree, the complexity of his feelings are one of the reasons I like the Leave ending. Mary asking " then Why do you look so sad" is more "Killing me because you were being selfish isn't the whole picture" I don't see the Leave ending as James being Redeemed, since it doesn't absolve him, I see it more as Atonement. He took Mary's life, so as atonement, he going to try and give a life to the orphaned Laura

Angela is 19 in the game, so if she was 18-19 when she killed her father and brother, she was legally an adult. That means her father had ZERO authority to force her to come back home, which means she was effectively kidnapped against her will. If they were preventing her from leaving and she was in fear for her life (and I believe she would have had good reason to be,) then killing them should be considered acts of self-defense, not murder. In all likelihood, Angela would have been murdered if she had not taken the actions that she did. That her father tracked her down indicates that the abuse was not only going to continue but escalate. So, no, I don't think she was guilty of murder, and even if some argue that she is, she would still have a very effective temporary insanity defense given her circumstances. She didn't go out of her way to kill them, she was backed into a corner and lashing out.

@patrickleighpresents7492 ай бұрын
@@The_Real_Raidou I'm not arguing whether or not she should be haunted by what she did, I'm only saying that, logically speaking, her actions should be regarded as self-defense, not murder. Obviously, having to take a life is going to be traumatizing to a majority of people. Most people who can kill without remorse are serial killers. The few good people who can kill without remorse are those who accept the killing as they choose to kill, or, rather, as they are FORCED to choose to kill. To NOT kill a would-be murderer, to let the would-be murderer succeed, would leave them traumatized. Having to kill is therefore acceptable to them and they will not be traumatized. "I'm very sorry, but you have to die. Nothing personal." That doesn't mean they'll look back on what they did with fondness or enjoy it. In fact, they will deeply RESENT having had to make that choice, but they accepted the choice as they made it. Such people are rare, but they do exist. Of course, such a person would not make for a very interesting Silent Hill character because Silent Hill wouldn't have anything to make them confront about themselves.
@sarahb18622 ай бұрын
In regards to Angela, as she had been abused her whole life and thus emotionally and mentally stunted, when her father forced her to come home she really did not have anywhere to go. I count her killing them as self defense. However, if Angela had escaped and then returned home on her own to kill her abusers, that would have been an act of revenge and I could see the morality of that being far more questionable. As she was being held against her will and abused, I think the guilt she has is due to her abuse and she's no longer able to think clearly or even get help. She is truly a tragic figure. *editing* Legally speaking, she would also qualify for the legal argument of Justifiable Homicide: A non-criminal homicide ruling, usually committed in self-defense or in defense of another, exists under United States law. A homicide may be considered justified if it is done to prevent a very serious crime, such as rape, armed robbery, manslaughter or murder.
@lexofexcel8862 ай бұрын
There's also the fact that a lot of people don't appreciate the psychological horror of killing another person, especially when one isn't conditioned to do so. Even if Angela was justified, she will likely carry the trauma of murder forever, along with all the trauma that she already had.
@viderevero13382 ай бұрын
That's a bit ambiguous, I've heard stories of justifiable murder, but the murderer is still prosecuted. Things like a father killing a pedophile who's preying on their son or daughter, or a woman killing her rapist immediately after, or premeditatedly (basically planning and getting their revenge), after the assault. It could be argued both are both justified, and prevent future crimes, but both incidents and examples still get prosecuted all the same.

I’ll forever see the leave ending as the true ending cause as much as a fake version of Mary comforting James can feel wrong he actually ignores all of her words because he has truly accepted the evil he has done… except for 1 thing. After he explains he did it cause “he hated her and couldn’t bare to see her that way” Mary’s response of “then why do you look so sad” is the only thing he doesn’t ignore. It’s silent hill telling him that she wouldn’t want him to do anything bad. She would want him to live his life like she says in her letter. This games events were his punishment and he can now move on. Her letter was her not anything from silent hill. And her letter wanted James to be happy Also ending your life will never be the right answer in any circumstance. God this game makes me cry
@bartekkkoАй бұрын
Adopting Laura is the only choice that is unselfish, as it directly follows through on real Mary's wish. We can't know whether she would forgive james, but we can't know if she would want to punish him either. James is the one who wants to be punished, and the hardest thing for him to accept is that there is no easy way out. His actual punishment is that there is no punishment. He needs to face what he's done, and carry the burden of his actions for as long as Laura needs him. As much as I want Leave to be the true, canon ending, because it's the only one that shows James learning and moving on, there's no particular reason to think that James would, or would not take it. In a weird way, James' choice is equally for both Us, and Him to make, if you catch my drift. I personally think James himself would be most likely to get the Maria ending. He already denied reality once, so why not take the opportunity to do so again?

I don't really agree with the notion that the town itself has some kind of morality. It isn't trying to condemn or fix anyone. It's merely projecting the subconscious into conscious reality (in the case of SH2 specifically). In Silent Hill 1, it is Alessa's subconscious. In 2, it is James's as well as both Eddie's and Angela's at certain points. In 3, it is Heather's being projected outward through her fear of both her past self, Alessa, and the horrors that come with being a teenage girl. In Silent Hill 4, we have Walter's subconscious dream world. I think seeing the town as a place that punishes sinners and/or redeems them confused a lot of people who see Angela. What makes Angela a tragic character isn't that the town is punishing her for what she did. It's that, despite years of abuse, she still feels guilty for killing someone. Killing in any form is traumatic, no matter what they've done to deserve it.

Abuse is often an impossible situation that reaches its extreme when the victim is trapped (financially, physically, emotionally) and simply leaving is extremely difficult. The police often do not adequately respond to abuse. Abusers usually slander and discredit the victim so that nobody believes them and people are less likely to help. I’m a child abuse survivor & ur deduction of Angela’s experience & how to handle abuse is absolutely spot on. But one thing I wanted to add is that there are huge long term effects to it. Angela may have killed her father & brother, but they killed her in the long run. In my experience I have seen that although I have healed greatly since my time, I still find things that have absolutely made me incapable of normalcy. I have a tendency to fall into a state in which I lack all emotion, I have insomnia due to being afraid my father would murder me in my sleep, a lack of care for my own wellbeing with previously suicidal tendencies which are now more so passive, etc. These things make it very difficult to go on throughout my daily life & no matter how much I have grown and healed, I find moments where I utter the words to myself that “I am still broken”. In my case my father & step mother were my abusers who were also victims. I had learned after investigating & reading his psych evaluation that he’d have an almost out of body experience while beating me, I learned later from him that he was always hated by his parents for no good reason. His mother tried to drown him as a baby & he never was shown warmth & that brought me to the conclusion that part of his abuse unto me was almost like self inflicted pain, as if he was beating himself. I highlight this to expand on the “abuse ruining ur life” aspect as both of my abusers were victims who went on to do the same, something in both of them was fundamentally altered, and something in me is as well.

When everything was over, I thought I was at fault for not predicting and preventing what came, and so for weeks I was in a constant state of hyper-vigilance. Any and all even weird sounds coming from where she was in the house had me jump out to see if she was okay. It simply judges its victims and feeds into their guilt until they either sink or swim which I believe symbolizes the cruelest aspects of our own universe. However, the most interesting and benevolent thing about Silent Hill is it does allow you to interact with other people so you don't have to suffer alone. Although each character can't fully see what the other person is going through, much like in real life, they may still be able to provide comfort and hope if the other person is willing to accept help, which unfortunately, neither Eddie nor Allison are willing to.

Something that strikes me as odd about Angela's situation is her brother. As far as I know, the only source that tells us about his brother partaking in her abuse is the novelization, and it may be implied by the castrated bodies (he's not even mentioned in the newspaper about Thomas' murder). However, we can find one interesting fact in a picture of the Orozco family: her brother was around of the same age as Angela. This would imply that he was probably a victim of Thomas' abuse as well, or raised by learning how to abuse his own sister. This only adds another layer to the tragedy. If he was another victim and never abused her, then Angela killed an innocent person that she saw as a monster. If he did abuse her, and it's probable he did, then Angela had to witness how her father turned the only person of her age into another abuser, dividing the two. It just highlights how both Thomas and the mother ruined their children's lives completely.

There's a lot of supplemental material and information about Silent Hill 2, and one of the interesting pieces of trivia is that originally Eddie and Angela were both supposed to have their own campaigns that would bleed into each other, an idea that Resident Evil 6 proved was a bad one. So it is appropriate to analyze these three characters together, as they each were written with the overarching theme of questioning whether or not a murderer is *necessarily* an evil person. Eddie is beyond redemption, a budding serial killer who is about to graduate from animals to people, an evil which James is ultimately forced to put down like the rabid dog he really is. Meanwhile, Angela is a trauma victim whose wounds are too deep for her to have any hope of reconnecting to humanity, and is a danger to herself and others. Despite Silent Hill's best efforts, their souls cannot be purified, and both succumb to the Abyss. Whether or not James joins them depends on his attitude.

I didn't really get much chance to experience the OG Silent Hill 2 growing up, but I played the remake and playing through it, I fell in love with it. For all the reasons mentioned here, I absolutely did. It's not a game I'll play 50 times in a row, but its a game I'll return to, because unlike all these other grandiose games in spaces like horror or puzzle or action, SH2 took a very nuanced approach to how we view morality. Boiling down the entire game to very simple blacks and whites (James is evil for killing his wife, Eddie is a homicidal maniac) is antithetical to the point of their stories. As summed up, they're human. We ALL do bad things sometimes. Sometimes, those bad things are exceptionally bad (like murder). The game was never about redemption, and I really enjoy that. There's enough redemption stories out there, but a story that uses so much symbolism to describe how we feel constrained and ridden with these negative feelings, is a game that's much better in storytelling, imo. It's both unique, and masterful, I believe. SH2 is something else, and it's good to teach people about introspection.

Loved the video, was looking forward to this one!! I think its important to remember that the progression of Eddie's violence stems from his time in the town. Given that he ran in panic after shooting the dog and injuring the footballer, its unlikely he would have ended up as unstable as he did without venturing to Silent Hill. The town in my opinion is an ambivalent force, and Eddie (like Angela) wasn't ready to accept what's inside his mind, with Eddie externally avoiding his problems, and Angela internally letting them consume her. Their fates were sealed as soon as they came to the town, which is why their graves in the labyrinth sections are already sealed. I'm speaking more about Eddie than Angela here as I feel many fans over look Eddie and just treat him as a psychopath when there is so much more to him, and I believe a major theme in the game is trying to look past our perceptions of people and try be more empathetical to their stories. I'm glad this video went over this aspect of the game.

I don’t see much of a point to morality without the idea of redemption. The idea of being irredeemable seems weighted toward perpetually enshrining evil. Think for example, is there a corollary for good? can there be a morally good action so good that it makes you incorruptible and inscrutable? No. There has to be a path to redemption no matter how heinous the actions a person may have taken. 1) For a practical reason, which is, if people feel there is no way to be in good moral standing, then they may take the mentality that more “sinning” is just a few more tears in the ocean? Why stop? May as well enjoy life and not bother with being moral at all. 2) On a long enough timeline, everyone at some point becomes irredeemable. They’ll be put into situations where they do things that are “understandable”, but not excusable. 3) I think this would only lead to a world where those powerful enough to not be beholden to others for their transgressions strive ever harder to gain power and subjugate everyone else.

Silent hill, to me at least seems like a place that shows you a path forward, like a crossroads where you're the one who has to decide the path you believe is right and want to go down. Many people consider something like the pyramid head as being on James's side in the story, which while not true isn't completely false either. All the monsters and horrors seen in silent hill are essentially guides for you to find the root of the issue you're mentally dealing with. Silent hill is kind of like a therapist in that way, just one that's not on your side, but one that simply wants you to confront your demons, whether you come to terms with them or not is up to you. great video and a great break down of the characters and their respective stories.

Regarding the bully section: I can confirm that if you display confidence, it tends to either stop, or at least simmer down. I'm a large man, I've always been heavy. When I went to a new school my junior year, A pair of athletic twins were quick to signal me out. I responded to their barbs with snark, or self-deprecating humor. We developed something of a friendship, them and I. Not besties by any means, but a mutual respect was established. They had a pretty shitty father who had a 'boys don't cry' mentality. So they hid behind their athleticism. Not every bully is going to react the same obviously, but confidence and self-assurance will always help you in stressful situations.

you're fortunate. in my childhood i'm the target of bullies that may or may not have horrible home lives. but when in my high school year i attend a reunion with elementary schoolmates, i find out one of them has become a laid back kind man (despite him being one of my most hated bully) and he apologize genuinely to me, and another becomes even worse delinquent who doesn't pay attention to me (i ignore him too. though from some tidbits i hear from others he had a violent parents or something, and i'm still to burdened with my childhood traumas even to this day so i don't like to have anything to do with that delinquent). and some other boys who were just as bad or even worse than that delinquent didn't attend the reunion and i don't care to find out what happened to them. the rest of the classmates are apologozing to each other including me for past mistakes in our shared elementary years. i forgive them because i know they mostly were just indifferent bystanders or sometimes mock me when their past child version feels peer pressure to join the mockery because they fear of being targeted or excluded from 'friendship'. while i mostly just go 'forgive and forget' on those elementary bullies so that i could move on with my life, the traumas from those events still haunts me to this day. threatening to mock me and drag me to despair mode whenever i suffered occasional daily mental damage such as father screaming suddenly due to typical life problems or some other such volatile bipolar attitudes that comes out from some people in my life. true confidence for me could only be achieved when i got a secure sustainable job that can feed my family needs comfortably. right now i have to rely on fake confidence and dissociate myself from strong emotions to avoid the risk of mentally damaging events.

Also I'm glad Maria wasn't mentioned as much in this video as the "main villain". Well kind of. I think the reason why Sh2 is my favorite is because there wasn't a main bad guy, the true evil was how the fears and doubts were manifest into a nightmare for everyone except for Laura our pure bratty yet innocent girl. Sh 1 had Dahlia and the other guy I forgot, Sh 3 had Claudia, and Sh 4 had Walter Sullivan. And the other non Konami games besides Shattered Memories were just callback villains (Silent Hill Origins), corrupted officials (Downpour), or again cults (Homecoming). But unlike those while Maria is the closest to a main antagonist for SH2, Maria is also a victim too as her only purpose is just James' desires. She is only made to serve James' grief and being a replacement of Mary. She was not her own person and as a result Maria is just a manifestation and nothing more. In Born From A Wish both a prequel and spinoff to SH2. Maria is the main character as she was manifested after Mary's demise. When she learns of her reason for existence she wishes to end her own suffering but she cannot. For James is the reason why she exists. As a result I feel Maria's actions are saddening because she is trying to be real. Survive like Pinnochio but that unlike Pinnochio her main purpose is to just be an apparation and manifestation. Nothing. She's just an image of James' frustrations with Mary's decline and it's sad she is the main sacrifice for James to move on from his guilt. As a result Maria may be an antagonist to James but is she really evil. Maybe she was when she masqueraded as Mary one final time to stop James. But that's why I feel sorry and pity Maria the most. Because she was nice to James unless he ignored her...and did cares for Laura. Out of all the Silent Hill 2 characters her tragedy is underrated and I wanted to give a shoutout to that. She may have been "evil" but she's a reluctant necessary evil. Unlike the others who could learn and grow Maria is just a ghost made to serve a purpose and when she is finished that is it. That is a horrible fate indeed. That is why I feel Maria deserve better too.
@blacksesamecandies2 ай бұрын
Antagonists aren't always morally evil though. They are just a threat to the protagonist's motives. Protagonists can be morally evil..or at least do evil acts. So yes, I guess Maria is kind of an antagonist, maybe the same way Pyramid Head is.. or hell you can even argue Mira (the dog).

I tried confidence and kindness when I was a kid. Doesn't work. It just got worse. My ideology has always been that every person is an individual entitled to personal dignity and liberty. I hung on to that belief, but I had to come to terms that not everyone shares that sentiment. A lot don't care. Some of them even see it as weak. Regardless of why a person bullies, either due to dealing with their own abuse or just meanness, stopping it takes therapy or consequences. Acting kind and being nice will usually just get you punched in the mouth. The ones who are dealing with their own trauma might be helped with therapy. The ones who are doing it out of selfish meanness, why would they stop? The world rewards them for their behavior, even celebrates it in a way. The anti-bullying campaign is just that, a campaign. It doesn't have any meaning. The only way I was able to get my daughter's school to put a stop to the group that was bullying her was to tell them that I would train her how to break their jaw. They put a stop to it the next morning. They could do something, they just don't care enough to. They're only interested in the perceived status quo, not the effect anything has on individual people.

I feel issue with how people believe Silent Hill acts like some sort of judge, or even "therapist" by *consciously* punishing the people that go there. I think there's not a guiding moral force, in fact, it's far more horrific than that. Imagine Silent Hill as a place of great magic, people there can call upon the power invested in the grounds of the town, but it does not act out of any sentient regard. The horrifying thing is that it's a place that makes nightmares real, it doesn't matter how innocent you really are, if you are broken enough to believe you need to be punished for something, the town isn't punishing you, you already are punishing yourself, and Silent Hill is just the worst place to be if you have "demons" in you. It brings them out, Silent Hill grants wishes. In a way though, culturally, the town was implied to be a venerated place for native peoples that resided there, they respected the power, and used it responsibly to commune with their spiritual sides, like a vision journey. Essentially, people are having messed up vision journeys in Silent Hill, which isn't helped by how canonically, the cult in Silent Hill 1 corrupted the town, so this effect of making nightmares real is even worse for everyone.

How are you simultaneously on point with James yet not? People that deserve redemption don't NEED redemption. Its not about what you think is good or not, who you like or don't, the only thing that matters, for anyone, is their willingness to change. To try, Frank. Yes, some people are far more tolerable than others, in terms of violent crimes, but they still irreversibly hurt the people they affected, if they're still alive. Your myopic thoughts on James is just lightweight and uninspired. Silent Hill doesn't care about human morality; all it cares about is that those trapped in its mists see and accept the truth. That, and we didn't need that whole shpiel (which you didn't offer James) on Angela. Also, lives aren't worth less because they sinned. But it's very forgivable and understandable, what Angela did.

I always feel that with James it simply boils down to this; if he was truly reprehensible, he would never have gone through Silent Hill. The fact he's there, the fact he feels guilty, the fact his own mind tortures him so shows it's not as simply as "Horny man bad". Three years is a long time to care for someone, especially as, as their condition deteriorated, they become abusive. So while I believe James wanted his life back, I don't believe he hated her.

Couple of things to say, Angela could've filed a court order for her father and brother to not be anywhere near her, and if they violate that order, yes they can go to jail, it is a viable legal option for her to do Another thing is that I don't think Silent Hill is even trying to talk to her about what she did, what Silent Hill was trying to get her to understand is to accept the fact that no she didn't deserve what happened to her. Her mind is constantly "I deserve this" the second time we see her she says "it's what we deserve" so from the very beginning she's had this idea of whatever happens is because she deserved it and she deserves bad things happening to her. We see this even in her mission which is to look for her mama, she thinks that she'll be okay finding her mom but all she finds is her father again showing that the one person she sought for to give her any comfort or peace wasn't even there for her and in fact the opposite telling her she deserved what happened

I adore the approach of the characters in that no one is a perfect villain, nor a perfect victim/innocent person. You cannot 100% blame them for their horrible deeds, but that don't necessarily excuse them either. And you can also empathize, feel bad, and understand/justify for the innocent/victimized ones, but that also don't mean they aren't incapable of not-so-good things that you may not be able to fully justify too. I think the peakest of evil here is Angela's family (especially her father and brother, who I think also partook in it), and I like the fact that you don't even see them, and the focus is on these broken characters that were victimized by circumstances and now can potentially victimize others. I also like how Angela and Eddie are like the two potential 'bad paths' for James. He could either become a lost, broken, stagnating person that is beyond healing, or he could become a violent murderous madman that is beyond redemption lashing out at the world because of his pain.

Heather is also a victim of the Silent Hill Cult and Silent Hill 4 protagonist, Henry is also not someone who has committed any crimes and is being punished by the town since the main antagonist in that game is Walter Sullivan. Not sure about later titles though. James Sunderland is the only one of the first 4 games that did something pretty reprehensible.

how do you know james had a better upbringing? when did the game ever mention anything about his childhood?
@AuroraLabsScientistID125212 ай бұрын
@@oatmeal710 I would argue other than his delusions about his wife, it’s obvious James had a somewhat normal upbringing. As the trauma he is forced to face is experienced when he is an adult. Conversely with Eddie and Angela they were abused their entire lives Right up until they committed their crimes. To me though it seems like Angela and Eddie were just used by silent hill to show James people who were damaged beyond repair and what would happen to him if he could not move forward.

@@AuroraLabsScientistID12521 that's your own observations and opinions though. none of what you said is substantiated by anything in the game
@AuroraLabsScientistID125212 ай бұрын
@@oatmeal710 the only part that is my observation is James upbringing and one of the motives for silent hill. Angela and Eddies stories from what the video says I believe is the truth. It could be possible James family had suffered whatever illness affected Mary and he had to witness that growing up and again with Mary. But that’s also just speculation.

Analyzing Evil: Esther Coleman She is the killer from 'Orphan' movies
@highdunker77402 ай бұрын
Very good analysis, I only disagree with one thing: James can absolutely be redeemed. His reasons for killing Mary were complex and the guilt he felt afterwards definitely points to a man who is genuinely horrified with what he has done and wants nothing but to change what he just did, to the point where he forces himself to forget the murder even happened out of trauma. I believe James is a good man forced into an extreme situation that most people never even come close to.

Especially after his wife was abusive towards him. It doesn't justify his actions but makes them a lot more sympathetic and feeling guilty afterwards definitely makes me happy he can be redeemed and move on

Please do a video on Walter Sullivan from Silent Hill 4, he was referenced on numerous occasions during Silent Hill 2, and he is definitely the best villain in the series.

The part that sounds like you're reasoning we're in control of what another person can make us feel through their choices, words and actions- And that we should be able to handle it with kindness, granted that we're at terms with our selves, is as questionable as Eddie's way of dealing with his issues. Suggesting that we're at fault for not responding with empathy to what essentially is a form of brutality and violence on top of being a deliberate, conscious choice another person forced on us, and that not doing so is what sends us down a spiral of negative outcomes, for which we have only our selves to blame at the core... Is in a gray area between sharing an opinion on how to come to terms with it after the fact so that it doesn't haunt us or torture us or even change our quality of life for the worse, and victim blaming. Unless I'm completely mistaken and misconstruing what was stated, of course. Even if that's not the case, I'd like to think that the intention in that part was more about the prior than the latter- Even then, I'd be more cautious about making such statements and reaching such conclusions casually. IMO we have every right to feel how we feel when bullied and it has nothing to do with how happy(Or not) we are with our selves, and we have the capacity to not process it in such a way that we'll end up like SH2's Eddie. The foul and blame fully and justifiably lies with those who seek to inflict those emotions, and wanting them to be dealt with as would be appropriate, is not mutually exclusive with moving on in a healthy manner. I say all that, based on first hand experiences, almost always due to my gender and sexuality, living in Greece for the last 40ish years. I'd say I've had my share of bullying, so I may also be biased. In any case- If others have had it easier, I can only be happy for them... And while I can't and never will speak for those who've had it just as bad as my self or worse... As far as I'm concerned, the part I'm talking about above, did touch a nerve. Still, an enjoyable analysis as always ^_^

No way angela can be considered evil. Especially if she killed in self defense. She was completely justified.
