I feel like if Artosis could somehow get to a point financially where he didn't have to work for about 6 months he could play hard core 80 hour weeks and get to a Professional level. He's so close to hanging with the big boys.

Yamato canon is great with so many BCs built. You can easily take bases with Yamato cannon even if you lose BCs eventually. BTW Yamato cannon has 10 range which is much longer that attack range, you can snipe defiler with it.

As a Zerg player I would fear most if terran would attack my tech buildings. Like if he focuses down my nydus, pool, den, ultra cavern, defiler mound, queens nest and of course the hive. I like him finding new ways to fight. The vulture strat is excellent against the ultra ling because it makes the zerg player need invest more actions. The shield on the bcs is also awesome. What I miss terrans doing what makes them so much stronger is using their buildings to block the path of melee units out on the field. Terrans can fly their buildings and toss zealots and zerg lings and ultras have to walk so much more to attack units when a building is blocking their path. This is ideal to protect tanks against zealots, but I can see this work against zerg too. It's leapfrogging but I think terran buildings with their big size are such a strong defence. Only problem that can happen is if it's done in a fight units will block the landing. So it works best with tanks... I think it helps to play other races too to learn what they are afraid of. While artosis does play extremely well, I miss details like him focussing on zerg tech buildings, which is their biggest weakness. Artosis shouldn't fight a zerg like the zerg fights artosis. It feels more like an offensive defensive move, going guns blazing against a zerg.

i'm confused about the firebat tactic. do they hit under dark swarm? or is it only their splash? how does that interaction work?
@JWorkAnimations3 жыл бұрын
Firebats arent affected by dark swarm at all, i think its one of the only terran units with that trait
@RichardJamesMendoza3 жыл бұрын
Firebats shoot 3 circles of splash damage with their fire attack animation (outward the unit) which makes them different from Marines and makes them the only effective unit under Dark Swarm.

its possible play firebat/medic + goliaths vs Z ?
@cwjalexx3 жыл бұрын
It's possible it's just very very bad. The cost of having to upgrade both bio and mech means a lot less units. Furthermore, the gas cost of firebat medic would mean less goliaths and the ONLY thing the firebat would be good against is zergling...and goliaths are already good against zerglings. It would also be much harder to micro since you would need a control group for the bats, one for the medics, and one for goliaths. The biggest problem is that this composition simply doesn't counter anything. Pure hydra would easily kill it. Pure muta would easily kill it. Hydra+muta would kill it. Hell, even lurkers probably wouldn't be too bad against it. The only thing it might work against is pure zergling which nobody would ever do...and goliaths alone could take care of it.

Honest question. Why don't pro players tell each other their spawning location to lower the randomness?
@chad26433 жыл бұрын
Gathering information in a game with fog of war is one of the most important elements of a strategy game. Being able to decipher where your opponent is and what they are doing at all times is up to you as a player and eliminating parts of that by telling each other where you are takes away from the challenge. Also a lot of opening strategies would be made useless due to the fact that catching an opponent off guard is much less likely. Things like cheese do suck to lose to but they are part of the checks and balances of keeping people from becoming ultra greedy in the game.
@vilmosdibuz44083 жыл бұрын
@@chad2643 Yes that seems reasonable but then why does SC2 do this?
@chad26433 жыл бұрын
@@vilmosdibuz4408 sc2 rarely uses 4 player maps i believe, and on those maps i think they only high light potential starting locations not saying where exactly your opponent spawned.
