Just to explain it for non-Americans (and there are quite a lot of them): July 4 is the national day of the US, that's why in an average American town fireworks will likely be much higher that day than usually. I'm just saying since some people might wonder why that sample size in July seems so weird. :)

Yeah, I got D in school. Because of this guy, and I mean this guy ALONE, I perfectly understand most master degree level. I’m actually going through this series again for my brother so he can smash his teachers to pieces before he even begins lol. They teach math, honestly, so incompetently it’s mental. And when kids fall behind because they don’t understand something (likely due to the teachers poor explanation…) they couldn’t care less. Make sure to check out his physics stuff too.

There really wouldn't be one since none of the values repeat, either that or maybe they all qualify as the mode? I'm not sure how it works in such a case.

Based on the definition of mode: "A set of numbers with two modes is bimodal, a set of numbers with three modes is trimodal, and any set of numbers with more than one mode is multimodal. [...] The mode is not defined when there are no repeats in a data set."

Hi Professor. Thanks for the video! I wanted to ask how do you go about finding median and mode when you are given a wide range of data. i.e. one that you wouldn't be able to visibly identify, one that consists of a thousand data. Would you have to use a specific program for this or can you mathematically find median and mode as you did in this video in a short period of time? Thanks!

Isn't median 9.5? Cuz the middle terms are 8 and 11 and the sum is 19 and when divided by 2 the median becomes 9.5, is it right? If wrong correct me.

No, because the numbers in the set are odd and therefore has a middle number so u can just use that

There was a little rhyme that I learned in 5th grade that helps with remembering the mode, it goes “the mode is the number that occuuurs the most!”. There was one for the median and the range and all that but I forgot them

Don't worry, I gotchu> So think of a CEO who earns 1,000,000 doillars a year while the Janitor earns 10,000 dollars a year. If we think of a company with 1,000 employees, wouldn't the "average" salary be spiked up? To make this simpler, let's scale it down. CEO earns 1,000 Manager earns 500 (1) Senior earns 300 (2) Employee earns 100 (4) Interns earns 50 (5) If we arrange them in ascending order, with the parenthesis meaning how many of them are, let's try. 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, 100, 100, 100, 100, 300, 300, 500, 10,000 Find the data point at the center which would be 100, 100 is the median(middle). But if we do the mean(average), 10,750/13, would be 826.923076923, which is not what you're looking for. Applications of median is useful especially if you want data points like the CEOs not to affect the "average" you're looking for.
