Analyzing the NEW Silksong Trailer!

Just a few things I'd like to point out 1:28: I think it's likely that's an ember coming out of the wall, and that area connects to somewhere near the deep docks 2:03: I have to agree, they have almost the exact same head shape, but I don't know if they're related.. idk something seems off about it to me 4:20: I have to disagree with this one. Seth and that bug wield very different weapons, and don't really have similarities in aesthetics either. I find it more likely this enemy is related to the bugs that were teased to guard a vault or something 5:21: since the drill attack is actually a tool, I don't think it's similar to ddark in that it's probably not going to unlock new areas. Looks badass though lol 5:55: yeah, that's graymoor. It sounds a bit more like city of tears than deepnest to me, from what we've been told about it. I also want to take the chance to say that those weird bugs are dustroaches, I'm calling it! 5:03: so I thought this at first, but the more you look at them the less similarities there are. The face shape is totally different, has a mouth and differently placed eyes, and the carapace seems to be rougher and spikier. 8:44: minor nitpick, but the last judge was actually revealed on edge magazine, I believe. God im so hyped for the fat evil cook boss

The stag-bug and its relatives look awfully similar to the king of fools' corpse from the coloseum

The head shape is a bit similar, but there's only so many different cool bug faces you can make. I mean, even some of the decorative masks in places like the mantis village and mask maker's hut look like lord fool

Perhaps lord fool slayed these types of monsters and wore their shells as a trophy of sorts, they certainly look foreign to hallownest

@@MasterIsabelle nah, I don't think so. you can also see many types of faces like this in other places in hallownest. I don't see what you mean by foreign; they fit in perfectly with the rest of hallownest where the mast motif is bigger. If anything they look out of place in pharloom

They've got to be in the twilight stages of development by this point. Just looking at how much smoother and more clean the visuals and gameplay are. I feel like at this point they've got the main bulk of the gameplay done, and are now just doing some last minute cleanup and glitch purging. It's possible that due to a previous deal with Nintendo they haven't announced a date for the game on this conference. After all, the game was initially penned for just the Switch on the console side of things. A possible upcoming Direct may actually hold the final projected date. And if not, I feel as though the absolute latest we'll get this game is Q1 2023. And if not that, Microsoft has drawn the line in the sand for June.

In addition! Apparently Silksong has been submitted for review to rating boards! That says they are absolutely far in development to where they have no intention of adding anything else that may contradict with the rating provided by the boards! _SILKSONG IS SILKSOON_

@@T4coTV An update that may or may not be unfortunate: I've spoken with an individual who claims to know more about how the ratings system works. They find it likely Silksong will go through what is known as the IARC, or International Age Rating Coalition, for a rating from there. That is used for digital releases, and is a basic questionnaire that will give you a rating. This rating is supported by the ESRB and the likes, and is free to boot. Now, they also said if Silksong was getting a "full" rating from the ESRB, it would generally take two weeks if nothing is redelivered. And they estimate it'd take three months for a release. That's only if Silksong goes for the full rating, which is slightly doubtful. So the fact they're going for a rating is good, but it isn't as big of a point as I first suspected. More of a small addon to the other little things that indicate Team Cherry seems to be pushing to the end of the development. Some extra writing on the wall, if you will. I'm sticking by my Q1 2023 window though. February would be just the right time I find; mostly because A) Releasing it in summer season wouldn't be a great idea since big games like to come out to capitalize on the summer market (read; school is out), and B) Releasing it in the holiday season of this year would lead to the same thing happening with other big games that like coming out for the Christmas season. February would be the right time to release so it won't have to bump elbows with too many big things, most notably the Breath of the Wild sequel that supposedly coming in spring. So, Q1 2023. Since the deadline put by Microsoft is June of 2023. That's also going with the notion Microsoft's word is final; I can understand the doubt behind that. There have been somewhat similar instances of this before (such as the notorious Nintendo financial report that had Silksong as one of the games slated for release back In 2020), but those haven't been as public as Microsoft's statements about the game and gamepass. I have a feeling Team Cherry is fully aware of this and are hopeful that they'll get it done within this deadline. I highly doubt they'd sign up for this deal otherwise. So, yeah. That's my rambling thoughts about it.

Hornet and the will of the knight xd

This trailer pretty much confirms most of the things I was hoping for Silksong. Hornet is highly agile, her movement is fluid and she has a lot of moves. The game will be more focused on platforming, and looks like both platforming and battles will be sufficiently challenging. I still hope that there will be places with a difficulty level of White Palace & Path of Pain. I also wonder if Silksong will be tied to the first game and explain some of the many mysteries from it. It has Hollow Knight in the title after all. 8:16 here probably happens something similar to falling into Deepnest - instead of going up, the elevator falls down and we'll be thrown into some difficult place where the only way out is through.
