During his tenure as FM in 1991-1996, PVN was his mentor and protected him and given freehand to perform; During his tenure in 2004-2014, he was an accidental PM, giving his power to the party President and doing a job as a pure bureaucrat does. He has given a free hand to his party colleagues, who made merry.

While it is fine to appreciate Dr.MMS for his great work as an FM, we should not forget the PVN as PM also contributed for that turnaround of India. And we should not forget how MMS almost destroyed India by being a mute spectator while he was a PM, the weakest PM India has ever seen.

1991 reforms are an example of an able leader late PVN Rao, who managed to push them through despite being a minority government. If not for him, it would not be possible,he is the true architect.

I don't know why you called his PM term as disaster. What he has done during coalition govt from 2004-2014 is remarkable. Under his leadership the GDP of the country is on an average 7.7 and highest GDP growth in a year is nearly 10%. Someone who is less spoken or introvert doesn't mean he is weak . That's why he is has given 117 press conference in his PM tenure. In his last conference Dr. Singh said that "History will kinder to me than the contemporary media and the opposition parties". Today onwards History will be kinder to Dr. Manmohan Singh sir. Om Shanti Sir ☮️💐

While there were some good during PM, he allowed all the very many gotalas, looting of India, destruction of India etc. by being a mute spectator, reducing the value of a PM and being the weakest PM of India. True history cannot be kinder to Dr. MMS.

A very stupid pm...who gave into corruption of Congress leaders, never raised a voice abt 26/11. A jhatu economist who devalued currency. The commonly educated always will find his economic sense amazing 👌 , but only the really intelligent ones will sigh 😕 in shock 😲 and silence. Devaluing home currency is not an alchemy of economics that it will help one attain the ever lasting fountain of economic growth and prosperity. He even had the guts to say that muslims have the first right to Indias wealth. Result Waqf board.

Reason why Manmohan Singh is greatest of all time even bigger than Nehru, Indra Gandhi, Modi. The guy who transformed Indian economy liberalisation in 1991. The guy who ensured the freedom of press and media. He brings the right to information act. He brings the right to education act, which revolutionized the literacy rate. Newly 120 million kids get education. During his PM duty, GDP per capita growth rate is very high. In 2004 GDP per capita is 700 but in 2014 it is 1600. He brings the food safety index FSSAI and 108 ambulance service with help of Anbumani Ramdoss. Manrega, Nuclear deal
