Whenever I found out that Anastasia was coming being made into a musical when I was 15, I was so excited, but I never thought it would happen. Hell, I didn't even think it would go straight to Broadway. But stumbling across this today has made my heart melt with joy. Especially being a huge fan of both Spring Awakening and Wicked, I've known about and enjoyed the work of Christy Altomare and Derek Klena for quite some time, and might I say, they could not have casted a better Anaya and Dimitri. I can already see the chemistry between them, and with their talent I know they will do the characters justice.

This is weird to see after I've seen the show and met all three of these wonderful actors. My Petersburg is very different from how Derek sang it here, but the effect is just the same. Christy is so wonderful and does once upon a December just as brilliantly as it was performed originally in the movie. Derek and Christy's blend in "In a Crowd of Thousands" makes me cry like a little baby every time it's so beautiful every time I listen

That this is where I belong. So I practice every day. Learn all I can and preform whenever I can. So that I can make it. Oh one other thing I'm 13, so tell me that I can't do it. Their voices are so perfect for these roles. Derek's voice makes me feel, I don't even know how to explain it. Crowd of thousands, Stay, I pray you, and Still are my favorite songs from the show. All three songs are so raw and open that every time I hear them I get drawn in and I honestly, most of the time, I tear up. I really want to see the show!!!

Anastasia was my entire childhood. It was one of the movies my parents bought on cassette and my older sister and I would watch it over and over again. We absolutely loved it. Something about it was just better than other Disney princess movie. It was funny. It was real. It was romantic in a way that felt more realistic and even as a 7 year old I could recognize that. I cannot wait to see this live in my home city of Toronto!!!
