Great job as always, Tom! Beautifully shot as always. Great drone work around the lighthouse. The new Rode mic sounds wonderful, too, and the campsites look lovely. But no pets on the beach? Discrimination! 😁 I had to restrain Zoe from giving a paws-down. 😉 (But she did bark when she heard the dog on the tidal flats.)

This is a delightful, clean island with great proximity to the cultural & historic city of St. Augustine. Much of the island is conservation land through the state park service, so native wildlife and plant life are abundant and easy to spot. At the same time, there is very good access public beaches, campgrounds, restaurants, and even a Farmers Market! Excellent location for someone wanting to relax, savor the beach, and easily do shopping & restaurant hopping. Please leave no trace.

Anastasia is one of our favorite places to camp and we have been there many times. I would like to add that if you’re into music the St Augustine Amphitheatre is a short walk down a wooded path from the campground. Their website says you can sometimes hear music from the amphitheater inside the campground but we have never heard it. The city has a strict 11 pm cutoff time for the amphitheater. The sites are all wooded and there is plenty of privacy.

The ladies had their red flashlights and ensured everyone stayed back and enjoyed. That was an experience we'll remember for a while. We'll definitely have to bring a kayak. That is so cool that you got to see them hatch! Have still missed that. I see the eggs all over in Florida but haven't been there the same time they hatch yet! St. Augustine is truly one of the most beautiful cities in our Country. The history, architecture and beach is stunning!
@McGuiresOnTires4 жыл бұрын
@@Adventureswithbecky We were lucky for sure. Almost missed them. We were just strolling along the beach late one evening. The girls had asked to go for a late night stroll so they could see the turtles come out. Thinking that was a ridiculously minimal possibility, we went out anyway. And, what do you know, a nice lady happened upon us and suggested if we hurried we might could catch the last few. We booked it up the beach and found ourselves meeting up with some great turtle lady volunteers and an amazing experience!

If you camp when a festival or holiday is happening, you can get a gate code and go out the back walk through. You come out at the ampatheater and can catch a shuttle over the bridge to the shops , bars and fort. We camp here at least once a year. But book in advance. They are always full.

This is one of my favorite spots in Florida! The seashells are abundant there and love Anastasia. Nice clean bathrooms and actually reasonable prices for the food shack. This is the first beach our granddaughter Aubrey fell in love with the water at 2 months old. She has been a water bug ever since and loves the ocean just as much as us. Great video and footage! Hoping someday I time it perfectly and can see the baby turtles hatch and take off into the water❤

We love to go to St. Augustine and take to trollies and tour the city. The drivers tell you all about the area and every time you change trolleys and drivers you get a different version of the of the story of the people and city. The trolley go to all the major attractions so we don’t drive once we take the trolley and that saves on parking.

St.augustine is beautiful ! No denying that! But stay for too long and you'll experience something other than beautiful. Bars and clubs are throughout the beautiful city among the restaurants. I live and work here and in five year's time I've hit some pretty rough times.there are some great people here but there are alot of other types here. The drugs are running ramped. You can find drugs and liquor just about on any street corner.many of the restaurant/ bars also serve for a place to get your party favors. They literally have bum camps behind and around the grocery stores. On top of all this they have a hefty policing force that has no body cams or car cams and a biased narrative guilty until you prove yourself innocent. A very arbitrarily system is at play here and it goes unseen through smiles and friendly banter. A very few places to eat will be sanitary. If you are visiting? Please stay close to where you have a phone a witness and healthy support system" family" have you ever watched national geographic??? When a baby cub gets separated from the pack?? YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!! HAVE A GREAT AND BEAUTIFUL DAY. 😉 please stay safe
