I loved the way you created the illusion of the trees behind the lake and the rest of the background using the 6-way wash. I think there is so much beauty when the watercolors kind of create their own magic. You masterfully know how to introduce the right colors that blend and complement the other colors. It was a great learning experience seeing this work come together as your vision brought to fruition another wonderful creation. This one reminded me of the mountain lakes in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. Thank you.

It is so true, it often feels that watercolours create our paintings almost on their own, without too much involvement from the artist 😊 It is the best feeling. I can foresee my two biggest challenges with this open free for all is where to begin the composition and when to stop. Lots of room to play. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you for watching! I agree, painting without a plan can be challenging, this technique works great for pre-visualised scenes too. You can create a drawing to guide you, and then do the six-way wash on top. Have fun!

I bought Nita book when I first started painting watercolour and did not understand a lot of it but now you have inspired my to look at it again your paintings are so beautiful

It is such a wonderful book! Hope you enjoy re-reading it. Some of the techniques are rather complicated, and I know Nita's artworks are quite large in size too, so I just chose the simpler techniques to try. Luckily they work even for smaller sized painting (smaller paintings are my comfort zone 😁). Thank you for watching my videos 😊
