I woke up with this song on my mind. Recently my husband passed in May and he loved this song. He's been on my mind and I had to hear it. I miss you every single day, Eric!

I had a near death experience, went to heaven & came back with one foot here & one foot still on the other side and they (the dead) are with u the minute you think to say their name. It's so quick. Ask him to show for symbols or numbers or songs or an animal and it'll show up. When u wake up especially and go to sleep is when communication can come in easily BC ur brain waves have slowed. Meditation helps alot. I'm sorry for ur loss. I hope this helped

My husband died in February last year just a week before our 37th anniversary and still most days I can barely breathe.. I was with him holding his hand and his head went back and he quietly slipped away without taking another breath.. This song would have been perfect and healing for his Memorial service ..

The great Warren Zevon, one singer and song writer more people need to hear. A tragedy that we lost him at an age when he still had so much to offer. Eddie does a good job with one of Warrens most beautiful songs.

I heard this song and thought an awful thought...that it would be a great song for a funeral. I was shocked by my thought. I found my husband 15 minutes later unresponsive and not breathing. He had passed, suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attach in his sleep. I immediately knew it was my husbands last effort, he was saying goodbye. Tom played this song as he left this earth so that I could survive the heartbreak. I love Eddie Vedder, I love that he sang this song for David Letterman because Warren was his favorite artist. If it wasn't for you all I wouldn't have got the good bye. I know in my heart it took everything he had to lay this song in my lap. I am forever grateful. I know my husband will always be tied to me like a button on my blouse. 💔

This should cement Eddies legacy as a singer. His song selection and interpretation on Warren Zevon’s great song is nothing short of phenomenal. I came to Eddie long after grunge. It was a ukulele album that turned me on to his voice. Then covering Dylan’s Masters Of War ... wow. Been a fan ever since. RIP Warren. You were one of a kind.
