This brilliant piece of music really illustrates what Vincent just said about working with producer Tony Doogan : “he suggested that we record as a live band, which we hadn’t done for years. Having played a few tunes on the last tour, we were ready for that. Tony wanted to capture that energy you can only get with everyone facing each other… it makes a big difference." :)))

I first heared about anathema in 2002 when a local metal radio sender called "Zosh " played "They Die" From the Crestfallen EP which was allready 10 years old back then. i was quite surprised when i realised in 2002 that every album was completely different. Dying Wish is allready so different from the stuff they did on Crestfallen. tbh i think every album is good. But i really loved anathema the most on Alternative4 and Judgement. I still think they make quite some good music nowadays but for my personal taste it has gone progressive "pop " a bit too much

@edwardspencer-small70217 жыл бұрын
I think part of that problem is people's experience with prog, they seem to think it dictates a very strict moment in time in the 70s and that all prog is going to sound like Yes, Genesis etc, when the true definition of prog suggests that you should always be moving music forward to keep with the times.

This song is like meeting a loved one you don't see for months, years. You meet, build the feeling again, the passion grows and boils until an erotic explosion, then you mourn and dread the foreseen farewell.
