Im a medical student. Ive been searching for an appropriate video to learn the middle ear's anatomy from a med student's perspective. This was the shortest yet most compact and knowledgeable one I found online as yet. Thank you.

you sir, are amazing! You sure helped me in my study along with other fellow medical students. In this video, when you mentioned the roof/upper wall of the middle ear or tympanic cavity, the roof is called tegmental wall which is part of the temporal bone not frontal bone. Other than that you are the best

The outer 1/3 is rather cartilage and the inner 2/3 is bony You mentioned it wrongly in the video

Outer cartilaginous is 1/3 and inner bony is 2/3rd of layer. You mentioned right in the last video on ear

Isn't the superior wall of the tympanic cavity Aka Tegmental wall part of the petrous part of temportal bone?

Yes, tegmen tympani is part of temporal bone (he mentioned it right in the overview of Ear anatomy video) and yes, the outer 1/3rd is cartilaginous and the inner 2/3rd is bony. Overall, the video was magnificent!

Bro lateral 2|3 is innervated by auriculotemporal nerve and upper 2|3 of medial surface is supplied by occipital nerve you mentioned it wrong

this video is so great so tahnk you so much .. but the tegmen tympani a.k.a roof of the tympanic cavity is made by the petrous part of the temporal bone and not the frontal bone ..

Great video. but there is a small notice over the information given by you at two different videos to the same topic ( overview of ear anatomy) In this video, you mentioned that the medial 2 thirds of the middle ear is made of cartilage And in the previous video, you mentioned that the medial 1 third of the middle ear is made of cartilage!! Please if you could answer me back

This is really brilliant! Just one thing I thought of pointing out. In your last video u told middle two thirds of the eac is bony.. so which one is true? Thanks for the great content and concise approach
