The coloring on the bottom left skull really was fantastic. Specifically the purple hard shadows around the eye socket meeting the cream/bone color on the nasal area. That really pops.

The drawings and paintings are always great, of course. But my favorite part is the THINKING and explanations. I love hearing this dude talk about art. Even on the Proko streams and stuff, it's so fascinating. It makes you want to more mindfully draw, and not so mindlessly scribble.

You'll probably not notice this but this series has stuck with me from when I first started painting digitally and I still keep coming back to review my basics occasionally, even after years. It's a goldmine of condensed and focused information in a relatively short format. sincerely, thanks dude

I am only 12 years old and I envy people who can draw awesomely so I wanted to learn about anatomy of heads, bodies, etc. and I think this is the perfect channel for me. I know some people might think am too young to do this and learn about this but I want to push myself to the limit and see if I can improve 💕

Don't forget, having fun drawing is more important than the drawing turning out to be good. Don't only focus on the anatomy part. do more fun stuff like, drawing fanarts or doodling random stuff (i made a mistake when im younger. So im hoping you won't make the same mistake as i did^^)

There's a certain kind of nostalgia from the way you paint. It reminds me of cover art for books from the 90's. Always fun to look at the details the artists put in.

0:26 - Why Memorize Basic Structure What helped improve face drawings (to Sinix) Memorizing the basic structure of the skull Once you can solidify this into your visual library, drawing faces will feel much more reliable. - Angles tend to be clearer than curves. (Curves can get cluttery) - 1:21 - Structure of the Skull -Cranium -Zygomatic (Cheek Bone) -Brow Ridge -Maxilla (Upper Jaw) -Tempo Ral -Eye Sockets -Mandible (Lower Jaw) 3:08 -

Awesome Sinix! I got a certificate upon a graduation from a school I attended for “not having skulls in my portfolio reel” as I was constantly drawing skulls in my sketch and note books. Love this video!
I think I tried to draw one skull ever and it was indeed difficult. You've inspired me to try to get better at them. It's a cool thing to draw when you are in front of other people.

The painting portion was so good. You are extremely skilled at making a very nice stylized version with the painting. The hue variation is such a nice touch, and something I noticed that you do quite often when painting, and it add so much life. I rewatch these as I learn, and always see new things or understand some information in a different way. I started animal anatomy, but now when I go to draw humans I'm not satisfied with it. Gotta fully know what's going on under the skin haha. Anyway, cheers! I think your series is definitely one of the best, and ages like wine.

Honestly just the offhand comment that- as you paint more and more realistically the exaggerated stylisation you can get away with decreases- was just such an eye opener. For the longest time I've been irritated with my sketches that I think look appealing and stylised just falling apart when I try to render them which makes me think they werent that appealing to begin with whereas really (and kind of obviously now- when I try to render them fittingly they look fine) it's not that I'm doing it wrong it's that the shape design of my painting doesn't quite fit the shape design of the sketch :) I'm now going to try and work on the shape design of my painting so that it fits better with the style of drawing I enjoy too :)
