So much I enjoy about your videos. 1) Ana's design! I love your eye for style that never compromises on functionality! Frankly as a busy business owner and a family raiser, she understands to focus on storage space; I have not seen this by male designers,, there is always stuff to be put away. Your brain thinks of every action and chore that a piece will need to allow for, yet still looks great. 2) you put the kids to work!~ (or let them help.) Learning, inclusion and responsibility. 3) Non fussy building sense. Love that you use the supplies available at the time of purchase and avoid the overzealous nit picking on unnecessary details that seems to dominate renos elsewhere,, perhaps this is your Northern Life common sense on display. Refreshing to no end. More women should go into design and architecture, we may get more useful spaces... Keep it up.

Love your channel. For 13 years I have been rebuilding 2 termite houses, Had to do everything. I hate it. Now I realize it is because there is no family involved just rental tenants. I am 70 so that part of my life is over. Love to watch your family all involved even the dog. Great design and space planning. Fascinating.

Yes the hardware you & Grace picked out was wonderful. Very nice indeed, indeed. I made my husband a nice fish cleaning station to. It's outside. I was tired of picking up fish scales around my kitchen sink. They curl up & just look nasty all over the counter. And smells like fish for a week in my kitchen after we soak them in salt water, then freeze them. So now he's to use the fish station outside. He's got his fish cleaning board, knife, & all the water he can use. It's wonderful not finding scales all over the kitchen countertops & on the floor. How small things make us the happiness. 😃 So happy your pushing these last finishing projects out the door be for baby comes along. Wishing you & your family many blessings to come in 2018, Chris from Missouri

Another great project!!! Always look forward to your video every week. Hey Jacob just a note for you. I’m from Saskatchewan, Canada and in the news today was the oldest man in Canada’s birthday here in Sask. They asked him his secret and he said you need to pick a good wife. You are truly blessed! Great Job Ana you are so talented!
Your videos are first rate, on every level! I just came across your channel a few hours ago and can hardly tear myself away from it. Your production values are very high. The videography and editing are exceptionally well done. The outdoor segments are breathtaking, and the background music is well selected. I've never been to Alaska, but now I want to go there more than ever!

Love this shared video from my favorite folks in Alaska! Thank you so much! You inspired me to use the Kreg jig for a kitchen cabinet face front update by making the frame & recessing each about an inch from the edges because my antique cabinets are recessed hinges. Hence, a solution to make them better faced without sacrificing my self latching doors that I like so we'll. Function & beauty gotta work good together. And my laundry room is getting an update too as I saw yours I realized that I have an extra kitchen cabinet in my basement that I can use for my laundry & insert me some drawer slides & maybe a sink too. You Ana & your husband are so giving to share this and God Bless. I can't afford to become a patron but I sure do think the world of you both. Be careful & don't give in to temptation to "over do it" in the carpentry stuff. You look almost due for baby. Sorry I wrote so much. Hugs!!!! I like you TV video on DIY too.

I wish I had all of the knowledge you guys do to just run out into the garage and build 1) Giant Planters for my 50 year old Philodendrons 2) Make wooden benches around our new pool (that I have waited for 25 years for :)) 3) Make cabinets for an outdoor kitchen 4) Build a Deck and 5) Build simple stairs from the deck down to the creek below the bluff!! LOL I don't want much huh? But I do LOVE to create things and know I can do it. Where would I find a checklist of must have tools needed to complete these tasks? Also, Do You have plans online for most of the basics "how to's" of these kind of things?

2plus1is3 2plus1is3 I had this issue with my husband. He was too used to working on his own, he never remembered to let me help. He would start the job and I’d just b standing there... I explained to him that I want to help and that by not giving me tasks to do for or with him (just saying, no I can do it it’s fine) he was making me feel like he didn’t want me there, and I was useless, even tho I am more than capable and Infact often have better ideas of how to make things work,... he wasn’t being rude, he just didn’t get it. Now he understands and he makes an effort to include me... it helps to explain and ask him to think about making it possible for him to work with you... good luck!!

When you showed the drawer pull installation I blew on the screen to get rid of the sawdust. Yeah, I thought it was irl. Another winner but most of the video I was worried about the lack of tiled backsplash. Will your stained wooden countertop and shelf uprights surrounding the sink survive all the long term splashing they will get? Hope so. Is there need for a cabinet (going all the way to the ceiling!) and possibly some additional down lighting above your washer and dryer? I'd find a use for it!
