At 5:49 is there a way to change the writing right after the boot animation? I wanted to have the PS1 boot sequence and perhaps change that writing to an old Playstation slogan ''Live in your world. Play in ours'' instead of ''GarlicOS starting'' or maybe hide it completetly.

ive just done the same thing and it wont show it when you try to load the boot animation. it just says the name of the animation and a countdown before going to main boot logo and then the home menu.

Yeah, the Arc is still relatively new so I imagine it's just a matter of time.

Yes, there is. You want to open the chime.mp3 in an audio editor (Audacity is a great one and is free), and lower the amplification level of the file and resave it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYWQd4aJZreFY68 There may be better methods out there, but this is the one that I use.

I go back and forth between GarlicOS and MinUI. They both offer great performance. I've been on Garlic as of late, tinkering with custom themes and such. For me, Koriki is not quite there yet as I just don't find it as stable as the others.

Yes you can. I don't know the exact details. But I believe you need a PS1 BIOS file in the BIOS folder. Then with a PS1 game running, you press menu+X to open the RetroArch menu and then go to Core Options>System and turn on the "Show BIOS Boot Logo" option.

2 card user here. Got the app switcher to show with the animations i loaded but it does not boot with the animation, even when i press on the animation in the switcher it vibrates but is just a black screen. I put the Bootanimations on the OS sd card amd the roms folder on the ROMS sd card. Any advice?

I haven't tested this out, but you might try moving both the BootAnimations and Roms\BootAnimations folder onto SD Card 1. There's some functionality of GarlicOS that only works when it's on the first card.

Thanks for the response- I tried just copying over the folder from roms onto OS sd card root folder and didn't seem to do anything. Would you be able to provide some context or explain in what steps I should change my process while following the video, if possible?

I'm using two SDCARD, do I need to change the sh files from MMC to SDCARD? since the directory is different

Do you get a boot animation too? Or just the GarlicOS boot screen?

@otggaming3180 I'll open boot animations in consoles like you did. It will restart but will reboot with the stock Garlic image

@@chrisjavier7244 Have you tried the "Genshin' boot animation? It's included by default with the boot animation switcher and if all the files are in the right place it should work. If Genshin won't even work then likely no other boot animation will work either. If that's the case I would double check that all the included folders/files are in the right places as outlined in the README file located in the BootAnimations folder.

I would double check that the 'BOOTANIMATIONS' subfolder that you place in your Roms folder and the entry in the coremappings.json file both match.

I'm using dual boot on my RGxx. I have the CFW folder on one sd card and the roms and bios folders on my other sd card. The bootanimations icon shows up in the console but wont show the actual boot animation when it restarts. The Genshin one wont work either. If you could give me some advice when you get a chance id greatly appreciate it.

I haven't tested Boot Animations on a 2 card setup, but do I know that there are some things that will only work if they're on card 1. So I would try moving everything related to the boot animations to Card 1 and see if it works then. The file and folder structures will still be exactly as in the video, but just on card 1.

Can you give me some steps on how you organized everything to make it work? I'm also on a 2 SD card setup - one with the OS/CFW folder and the other with ROMS and BIOS etc. I was able to follow the video and have the app switcher installed on the device - and can see the boot animations I loaded in the switcher- but they don't apply and even when I try to preview them in the app they don't load
