I dont have a degree in automotive, i have an industrial mechanical technology degree, but i do most of my own repairs and on some people cars to save money. I have been looking for a smaoke machine for a while. I think you have showed some great aspects of this unit. I wilk check it out

A quick note on these Chinese evap testers. They put out way to much pressure for evap testing. The maximum pressure for the evap system is .5 psi or around 13.0 in. H20. The Ancel S300 is putting aut around 14 psi, Anything over 7 psi can damage pressure sensors and or blow off hoses. 14 psi is OK for intake and exhaust testing but way to high for evap.

You should of done it in front of the MAF section. The smoke can damage the sensitive elements of the MAF sensor.

If you can. Introduce the smoke after it or remove the MAF and use that port.

Do you know the difference between the 240 ancel s3000pro and the 170 dollar ancel s300??

It takes a minute to heat up, but yes it does pretty good for how small it is

I have also bought a car smoke detector with better functions than this one, which is very convenient to use. It is POWERSCALE's brand, M1 M2 from amazon and the price is also affordable. I highly recommend you to test this brand, perhaps we love the new model of car detector you recommend
