Speakers: DAVID MAS MASUMOTO and NIKIKO MASUMOTO.
Introduction by DR. LISA HIRAI TSUCHITANI.
In this interactive workshop, you’ll search for ancestral artifacts, practice designing questions, and listen to a story of how David Mas Masumoto constructed a family memory out of secrets and fragments from his
forthcoming book, Secret Harvests.
In many of our immigrant and Black, Indigenous People of Color( BIPOC) communities, our histories exist in the archives in incomplete
form. What if we can grow our relationships with ancestors by getting closer to our archives?
We hope you leave with inspiration to search, connect, and create your own practices of archival and ancestral meaning-making.
