However, Colombia also has afro population in other areas like Quibdó Choco which the black population is 99% and the entire Pacific coast is full of lovely afro-Colombians. I am actually from the Caribbean coast. Atlantic coast of Colombia. Where are you from by the way?

Well both my parents were born in Colombia, but I was born in the US. As far as I know most of my family has been in Colombia since forever I think.

Anthony Abadia hey the same for me. All my family is Colombian like forever. The mixes on my blood is because of the Spanish colonialists plus African slaves and Native American living in Colombia before the Spanish empire. I always find it interesting the reaction from those in the Latinx community when they find out they are part Sub-Saharan African. The real question is, does it change how they look at themselves and those who identify with their African ancestry.

Hey. At the official website of Registraduria .gov. co today was the presidential elections so it’s likely to have the website off for applications and so on. Visit the website tomorrow or following days, next week. Hope this helps you a lot

i can't believe you are over 2/5 of black origin. i bet you're from la costa, there there are many zambos and mulatos. Anyway great results. i used 23andme and ancestry and both results are similars, unfurtunetly i got just 1% subsaharian african. mostly im a complete mestizo with a bit of north african and from the midle east. im colombian by the way.

Might you feel offended because I wrote “over 2/5 black” maybe i counted the wrong way so Im gonna correct “almost 2/5 black” Sorry. I feel a bit embarrassed recording videos but in summary my dna results are the following: 51% European mainly from Spain and Portugal. 46% Native American. 2% Middle East. 1% Africa I’m from Tunja
