Being Puerto Rican or whatever still means European ancestry because puerto ricans are a mix of Spanish colonists and native peoples. Also considering you used to live in Pennsylvania it makes sense you have some British blood. Since British colonists settled there... AND It makes sense that you have African blood because the slave trade brought Africans to the area. Remember this traces back your lineage to hundreds of years. The DNA match portions of these tests are based on shared centimorgan (cM) values, centimorgans being the measure of distance between certain chromosomal markers, the markers being whichever ones were tested for by the given test. In the case of parent to child relationships exactly 50% of cM will be shared. This is the only case in which this will occur, as even full siblings will have some further variation due to the different genes they inherit from each parent. So in short, if James does indeed have no children that is without a doubt his biological father.

My dad was adopted and he used the same website, ancestry DNA, and he got a match just like James except it said the person was his mother. My dad eventually contacted her and she responded and confirmed she had given a child up for adoption. Luckily, my dad is closer with his biological mom now and if you compare pictures of them, the physical characteristics are uncanny. I can confidently say this website is legitimate and so are the results.
