Another great Video Damian and Brooke. Great content and clever editing. Great advice to check boat is secure for sea BEFORE lifting the hook! A few positive points as requested. Would be good to do one in greater water depth and wind conditions. Not sure what hand signals Brooke/You use? As a matter of interest we use a couple of blue tooth linked headsets with built in mikes. Similar to those used by motorcyclists to talk to their pinion passenger. This makes communication easy when anchoring, berthing or using the dinghy close to the boat. Or even communicating on board when engines are full throttle in windy conditions . For instance lookout reporting etc.. It means, when lifting the anchor, the foredeck person can record viewing each 5 metre colour mark, how much weight is on the cable as well as direction. A worthwhile investment. Looking forward to the next 895 video . Thanks for all your hard work in making them!

Thanks John. Good idea to do it in deeper water. I wanted to do it in the more shallow clear water so we could see everything. Like you idea with the headset. Not much boating happening here, lots of thunderstorms.

Not a good learning video, Your need more practice! You don't need a hand or help to do that with a windlass with control on the helm and the bow. I calm water you could go to the bow.

If you've got two people, use two people rather than leaving the helm, safety first.

4 mins of useless babbling before you get to the point... Other then that it was a somewhat okay instructional.

Rather than criticizing others, let’s see you post a better video my friend. My guess is you wouldn’t have a clue. Looking forward to watching your video!

@@LJT1981 Obviously criticism hurts your feelings. Could i have been more polite with my comment? Sure, but the fact of the matter is the majority of the video was running up watch time to show/explain 1 minute of information. I don't post videos because i enjoy my anonymity but don't mistake that for me being a fool. I was curious when i saw the title as to how he would execute this anchor pull which is common knowledge to me as i've grown up on boats, Certainly not because i needed instruction on how to do a simple task anyone with a boat should already know how to do.

@@jayt3796I knew you wouldn’t be able to post a video - you’re just a keyboard warrior! It takes an enormous amount of time & effort to film, edit and post youtube video’s - all for very little gain - roughly $2 per thousand views. People do it to share knowledge and help others - something you’re not willing to do. So if you’re not prepared to make content please don’t rubbish those who do. It’s just basic human decency. Simply scroll on if you don’t like the free video and make the world a better place. All the best mate.
