We drop anchor at Alligator reef, Rodriguez Key and Biscayne Bay on our last days in the Keys.

Good vid, thanks for the chartplotter/tablet shots. What method do you use for boarding the inflatable when coming out of the water after snorkeling? I've seen the 'back flip' method on KZbin, but find having a simple rope/loop ladder (with someone else on the opposite side to prevent flipping the dink) to be the easiest.

That is what we did. I made a loop and Lyn held the line from the other side. Then I pulled her up. In my younger days I would have been able to do it without a loop. Those days are gone!😁

It is a DJI Phantom 3 Professional. It has a great camera and gimbal.

Have you considered acquiring a small ROV? It could add some interesting video along with drone footage and as a bonus could be used to inspect the hull and running gear.

Captain Ed, have you experienced any structural issues with the Hatteras as a result of age? Something like delamination in the fiberglass or anything like that?

No. We have had no issues like that, fortunately. We have had a couple of pumps fail, a davit hydraulic fail and a couple Cruise-air circuit boards fail. We will be rebuilding an alternator soon, and fixing an oil leak on the stabilizers, but that is about it for big repairs.

We just drop anchor. There are not many moorings, and they are hard to get, at least when we have been there.

Yes. There are a couple of videos where we do 24 or 48 hour runs. Usually from N. Carolina to Florida.

JMP is correct. It was AC cooling water. However, our generator also discharges on the starboard side.
