Great stuff. I also have ordered your HogBall jigs, but I see I should of also bought some of them Orange jig you were use in this vid. Oh I also Have a Minn Kota... For the $2800 I spent it should not break. First unit broke 3 time. They told me I had one of the first auto models and they made improvements. So my dumb-a## bought a newer one and that also went out. Got almost $6000 of junk here.

Great video.. Going to start calling you the Professor of the Bay! It'd be great if you could do a video on anchoring when the wind and tide are in opposite of each other? (If you haven't gotten your spot lock back of course)
@TampaBayFishingChannel4 жыл бұрын
That one is the hardest thing to do and most frustrating. There are very few spots you can achieve that in the bay. I’ll see what I can do

Congrats on hitting 10k subscribers! We were out there on Saturday after the storm as well. The bite really got hot around 3-4pm.

Great channel, Todd. Bought some of your jigs recently and I really like them. Have you thought about switching to a Rhodan anchor? I think it’s the best of the bunch, plus it’s manufactured locally.
@TampaBayFishingChannel4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the support! I looked at Rhodean but I buy from minn Kota with my business so I get a good price on the minn Kota.

More good tips. Thanks. On a typical fishing day how many spots do you try?
@TampaBayFishingChannel4 жыл бұрын
Anywhere from 5-30. Depends on the day.

Awesome video as always, Todd! Thank you. You answered my question at the end about retrieving an anchor off of the rocky bottom. Often times your videos show you catching bait at sunrise with Chad and then returning much later in the day. Do you and Chad fish the entire day or do you go back home for awhile and then go back out? On average how long do you fish when you go out with Chad? Thanks.
@chadkloft88364 жыл бұрын
We typically leave the dock at 6:30 or daylight and return Around 5:00. It may seem like a long day, but it goes by fast when you are having fun

Thanks for the information very useful. Are you anchoring outside the channel then letting the boat drift back over your points? Is it true it is against the law to anchor in channel?
@TampaBayFishingChannel4 жыл бұрын
Yes I am Anchoring in the shallow part and letting my boat go back to the waypoints. You have to be selective on the areas you can do this.

Good morning and my question is. I was always taught to make your leader lighter than your main line, but yours is reverse. Is there a science or just your preference? Thanks
@mrflako55144 жыл бұрын
fish will bite faster on a lighter leader
@Aaron.Davis564 жыл бұрын
@@mrflako5514 Thanks. I know if you're fishing toothy fish you need to go heavy, but I go lighter to break off before the main line breaks for snags too
